“I mean, first of all, the beach is easily accessible so that's a good start. Then, there's a pool AND hot tub, although they aren't close by but you still access both pretty easily also. I've been here twice with family, each for vacations and both times were great stays! There's even an outside seating area and a Sandy area where you could set up games, for example, Cornhole. But yeah, I would definitely recommend staying here!”

“The cottages are a cozy arrangement of quaint cottages with each cottage having its own outside sitting area for drinking coffee in the morning to sipping wine in the evening. Our one bedroom cottage had the sitting area right outside the bedroom. Our kitchen window looked out at the pool where there were plenty of lounge chairs to sun and a couple of thatched covered tables wrapped with white lights where we sat after dark for bedtime cocktails. The location is outstanding being a 10-minute walk to multiple restaurants, bars and shops. We 100% enjoyed our stay in The Cottages. So private and relaxing. Much prefer this compared to high rises, elevators and tons of people!”

There was a nice pizza place and a breakfast place directly behind the hotel so you don’t have to drive if you just want to stay by the pool. “This place is still old school but still going strong. We stayed at the end of July unfortunately had to deal with Red Tide but that wasn't the hotels fault. The place is clean and the people are great. If you are looking for a quiet place no parties, no loud people, music just great family fun this is the place. Maybe the only down side is there is no balcony for each room but you can sit outside the room at a community style balcony on the second and third floor, not that big of a deal, at least for us. Again I hope the owner keeps this place going with the same hospitality of people and no party style atmosphere. I believe everyone I met has been going to this hotel for over 10 years, seriously you don't hear that to often and they all come back for the same reason; quiet, family atmosphere, and the family owners and staff. My family loved it Thank you....”

“Lived there for a few years. Its a great place. Owner is very good to those who conduct themselves in a responsible way. The park is well kept and I never had any issues there. The Manager is Great. These people treated me like family and have done so much to help me when I had some struggles. I really cant say enough good about how good they were to me. Its off the path and has a very remote feel. Its close to everything and the prices are kept reasonable.This is a great place with a great owner and manager. Just Awesome people whom I consider like Family. Im actually considering moving back if a lot opens up.”

“We stayed at this hotel for two days. I chose it because it was still close to the beach and the price was good with a free breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was decent, the staff was amazing, and the bed was so comfortable it was better than my own bed at home. I never slept so good. The hotel is a little rundown but then again so are most of the hotels in this area. For the price, we had a great time. There is a bar on the second area that’s open till 11 PM. The bartender was very friendly and made great drinks. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.”

“I am a big fan of this place. My husband and I have been here for a while. The employees here are some of the friendliest and helpful people we have met since coming here to Texas. We have been in a few situations that needed a bit of understanding, and have been blessed by the people here. I appreciate this place and all they offer. Having a stovetop and full sized refrigerator is a massively significant positive benefit to being here. Having a 24hr laundry facility is also wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay for either short or long term.”

“This place is always spotless! The rooms are incredibly clean, and the staff is friendly, courteous, and professional! The location is perfectly placed off of Interstate 275 so that you can go to Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, etc. All rooms come with a microwave and refrigerator. The Cracker Barrel Restaurant is next door, and there are other restaurants and shopping on the same street. The location is not far from various beaches and other attractions. This is truly a superior hotel/motel!!”

“The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. We got a room with a separate bunk bed area and our 6YO loved it. And all the lights worked (I only mention this because literally every hotel room I've stayed in over the last 5+ years at least one light was burned out). The waterpark lifeguards were all great too and thanked us for coming. The bar and small restaurant looked cute, but we didn't try either. One con was that the little concessions area in the waterpark said it was open 4-8pm on Saturday, but it closed down at the water break (about 6:30pm) and never re-opened. Was a nice stand, selling pizza and smaller things and adult drinks, just wish it was open when it said it would be. The Arbor Lakes area where the hotel is has a lot of places within walking distance, just had a ton of street construction while we were there (seemed every street was being resurfaced at the same time).”
