Sarasota Jungle Gardens

This is a great place. Don't even think about not taking your children here. Our three-year-old got to hold an albino alligator, Feed flamingos out of her hand, Feed the ducks see full size alligators and crocodiles up close. There are some great presentations with birds that talk and act. It takes about 2 hours. Buy your ticket online and show up at 10:30 and you'll avoid the crowds and have a great time.

We love this place! Strolling through the lush vegetation on the paths is beautiful in the morning before it gets too busy. Hand-feeding the flamingos is such a special experience. Some of the exhibits are a little older and dated but I’m sure the kids still like to see the reptiles up close. We just enjoy the natural beauty and the opportunity to get close to the birds.

We had a great time interacting with flamingos and exotic birds. There was so much to see and the walk was great. The butterfly garden is a wonderful and beautiful experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. My only critic would be the restrooms. The restrooms are not set up for handicap or families. They were very uncomfortable. That's why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars.
