“Wow! Wow! Wow! We rented Bali Hai House from this property management. The house was well kept. It was also well stocked with toiletries, paper goods, kitchen supplies and best of all enough beach and bath towel to use once per day for 2 weeks!!! The house also included beach chairs, umbrellas and Cabanas!!! Definitely saved us money from renting!! We have been booking with VRBO and been disappointed. After booking with The Cottages on the key, I do not know if we can ever find a better property management group!! The communication was top notch! Dennis, helped me from day one. He was polite, professional, knowledgeable of the area and friendly. He was not pushing or acted like a salesman but rather assured that all my questions and concerns were answered accordingly. We received an email and text message to assure we have all the appropriate information. We were informed to check in early!! This was a plus since we arrived at Siesta keys a few hours before the 4pm check in. We needed something during our stay. My text messages were answered promptly even though it was 1:00am!! It was assuring to know that if we needed anything, the team members were there to help us!! Would definitely use this team to book our next trip! Thank you Dennis and team!!!!!!! As a surprise Wedding-Birthday Gift we have the privilege to enjoy this beautiful Jem. The photos do not honor the quality of the property. The location is perfect: in front of a pier where you can see the sunset and the moon. Meditate or enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or wine. It is for adults only, couples, or friends. Across the street, is a beautiful Crystalline Beach. Near great Restaurants, Bars and Night Life. The decoration of the room is Art Deco, it is spacious, it has everything! The property is Spotless! And well organize. Only for clients it have a Bar, BBQ, beach chairs, paddle board, you name it! Everything you need or imagine you need. You can feel the love and spirituality with which it was built. Its a winner, we will definitely repeat.We are falling in love! Tom and his crew are very attentive and lovely.”

“We had another (our third) wonderful stay at Island House. We find the beachfront apartments perfect for us and love the view from the second floor. As usual, the apartment was spotless, the kitchen well equipped and there is plenty of space to store the food you bring in. The fold down Murphy bed is extremely comfortable and so easy to use. The shower is spacious and the bathroom also has ample space for everything you need. The staff is friendly and helpful… and of course, the setting and beach are just beautiful! We will see you again!”

“First you must understand this is a 55+ park, and not a campground for overnighting. All lots are privately owned, there are lots that may be rented. There are some perminant residents. This is a beautiful park, with great amenities and functions, as an owner or renter you have full use of all there is to offer. Shopping, restaurants and medical are all within 5 to 7 miles away. Major areas for such things are within 20 minutes. We’re new to the park, but we really enjoy the people and the park, it’s great.”

“First, let me say that this place has obviously seen a lot of traffic and the usual abuse from travelers, but it is equally obvious that the owners have taken great pains to keep it up in good condition. The appointments were up to date and modern. The rooms were tidy and clean. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The pool is really nice and accessible to the handicapped. Pool towels and toys can be borrowed at the office. There are ice, drink vending machines and laundry facilities available and there's coffee at the office 24/7. The location is excellent - easy to find, lots of restaurants nearby and Siesta Key Beach is just minutes away. I have only two suggestions for management (not serious enough to consider strikes against the establishment). (1) Water could have been a little hotter IMHO. (2) Since glassware is prohibited at the pool, it would be nice if there were some plastic glasses in the rooms. We were in the area for a wedding and enjoyed our brief stay.”

“My fiance and I booked a private charter for a weekend. The guys at Morning Star gave us a Catalina 22’ (vessel name Key Largo Cottage). We had the pleasure of witnessing manatees swim beside our sailboat rental. It was truly a joy to sail it over the course of 2 days. With our ASA certifications, the bay was a delight to navigate. Many sailboats are anchored, and the waters were filled with people who love the ocean. The team gave us all the equipment and info we needed. Waking up each morning and seeing it docked at our property pier helped make our wedding weekend a dream come blue. Next time we’re in the Florida Keys, we will most certainly support Morning Star again.”

“Wow! We have always stayed in chain hotels and decided to try this place for a change. And we will be staying here every time we visit NPR! Not only has the building been beautifully renovated in a way that honors the historic value, the staff is top notch and the room was amazing. We were warmly welcomed upon checkin. As we entered our room the first thing I noticed was how good it smelled. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean - seriously, housekeeping is top notch!! While the room is a bit small - there’s not much you can do to change 1927 architecture. The hacienda makes up for it with the character of the hotel and friendliness of the staff. Thank you!!”

There is food and drinks on site but also many great options within walking distance too. There is an additional resort fee when you book that is applied when you check in. The property is very clean and room was well equipped for our stay. Room was clean and housekeeping made sure we had what we needed even after declining room service. The property is pet friendly which is a huge plus. They have simple pet policy and rules to accommodate everyone. The breakfast buffet is well put together. The pool and spa is amazing. I cannot wait to come back and enjoy all the amenities they have to offer at an affordable rate. Close to outlets and lots of restaurants and stores. Very convenient. Last but not least the front lobby staff is very accommodating as well during check in and check out!!!”

“Really liked this place! First time local visit. We did a short girl's staycation and had a great time just staying in and around the hotel. Pool got busy during the day but we usually were able to find chairs. Really beautiful grounds before you get to the beach and super short walk to the sand. We were able to rent bikes that were delivered to the hotel and ride them on the pavement right outside the beach to local restaurants etc. We played in the hammocks multiple times throughout our visit and it was perfect. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed! Would definitely return for another visit and recommend to others.”

I also love finding sharks teeth and the Saturday night drum circle on the beach at sunset. My only negative thing is the rooms could definitely use some updating and some new king size beds. “In the past it was very bad drugged out people prostitutes but ever since the new owners purchased it they have been doing a great job of cleaning up all of the nonsense.... The remodeling and the owners are wonderful but they don't allow traffic in and out they watch the cameras an get rid of anyone there for the wrong reason.
