“Y’all I came into the salon with my scarf on. I had not touched my hair in 3 weeks. I’m pregnant and sick all the time so my energy has been at an all time low. As soon as I walked in for my appt, one of the ladies called me to the hair wash station with the biggest smile on her face. Literally no judgement and she didn’t even flinch when she took my scarf off 😂 I asked her “are you ready?? I’m so sorry in advance” and she was like “please, no worries. We’ll take care of you and make you more beautiful than you already are” ♥️ they won me over. One of the other ladies took her time to detangle my hair under the water, they gave me a deep condition and got me together real good. My husband got a completely new wife when I went home, he was so pleasantly surprised. I didn’t cut my ends but I’ll be back to do that for my next visit. These ladies were pleasant and wonderful. I told my mom I felt like I was at my Dominican aunties with her friends. The only thing is as soon as I stepped outside my hair did frizz up rather quickly. I searched YouTube and there are ways to avoid frizz after blowouts. I’m not sure if they have the stuff to avoid frizz but I will ask next time.”

“Let me start off by saying this: if you are an avid golfer, like I am, you know how hard it is to maintain a golf course in the state of Florida. Especially when it comes to public courses that a lot of people play. Citrus National Golf and Country Club checks all the boxes for me. They have a beautiful driving range, very friendly office staff, and a very nice golf course. They also allow walk in tee times for folks who love to golf on a whim. If you like to top off and cool off after a round of 18, their food and drink options are excellent. Beer is on draft, or available in bottles or cans, along with soda options, and food is ready to cook upon order. The chef here is excellent, so are the wait staff. Clubhouse management is not afraid to serve people as well, which gets extra brownie points for me. The driving range, the greens and the fairways here are in exceptional quality. I know how hard it is to maintain a golf course, especially in the Florida heat. Greens can die/patch up easily. They irrigate and aerate the greens and fairways on a regular basis to where they’re a beautiful full consistency. There’s still some minor work for the fairways and greens, but nothing that’ll hinder play in any aspect. They have also started work on tee box repairs and the course is coming along wonderfully. Also, don’t be afraid to go into the clubhouse and ask for assistance or anything that you may need, because the staff here will take excellent care of you. Mr. Scott Yates, the course pro and course General Manager, has done a wonderful job at making sure that all the staff are friendly and personable. If you are new to the area or have been living here for years, I highly recommend that you come to Citrus National. Trust me when I say, you will not be disappointed. Big J’s BBQ Reviews out ✌️”
