Flint Hill

Went to a wedding at this venue and it was gorgeous. The people that worked there were so nice, helpful, and were thanking us on our way out for the night. Could’ve used a couple of fans outside to get a breeze going, but other than that, I loved this place. So much history to read about while you’re there.

We had our wedding at Flint Hill in the spring of 2022. The day of was perfect. Our wedding day went very smoothly and exactly as planned. 5/5 from the Flint Hill team on the execution. The decor, flowers, cake, and food all turned out great.

We had long engagement and signed our contract with Flint Hill in early 2020.  Flint Hill is really a one stop shop for weddings, which was a primary reason we chose them. They made it very easy and were well coordinated across their entire team.

We had multiple planning sessions with the staff including the overall event manager, the floral and decor team, as well as a catering in advance. Overall everyone throughout the process was knowledge and helpful.

The only reason we are withholding an overall 5 star review is due to a dispute in the contract over food pricing. We understand costs have risen significantly between 2020 and 2022; however, our contract limited the allowable increase in food prices. We (and two lawyers we consulted with) believe the venue increased the total food cost by more than $1000 than the contract allowed. We didn't pursue legal action before the wedding for fear of souring the relationship with the venue before our event. Additionally by the time the venue increased the prices, they already had our non refundable deposit, and it would have been too late to find another venue.

Overall I'd recommend the venue, but you should reserve some extra funds for unforseen expenses from the venue.

Flint Hill is such a beautiful place! My only concern when we booked the venue was that there was another wedding in the morning, but when I got there at my assigned time, there was nothing left of the other wedding. You would've never guessed there had been anyone there before us. A perfectly seamless transition. Having most of the big vendors be through the same company (A Divine Event) makes things a lot easier.
Our ceremony was held in the courtyard during golden hour, and it was just the most romantic setting.
Our Flint Hill team was incredible! Katie was super kind and responsive throughout planning, and even thought we had to make many adjustments because of COVID, she did her very best to help us in the planning. Kari was our day-of coordinator, and she was crazy good! Everything ran so smoothly, she was on top of everything!
Now the food... we still have people texting us about the food! Best wedding food ever! The catering team has a very extensive menu and will work with you to create something that fits what you envision. I hope everyone I know will get married here so I can eat their food again!
Our designer with the Design Studio was Melissa, and she will make every single one of your floral dreams come true and stick to your budget! During our first meeting, I was so worried about going over budget and she said "tell me everything you want, and I will make it work". And she really delivered! My orchid bouquet was everything I had hoped for and more!
