“Great place with a small gazebo. Has music in the park a few times a month during the summer. This is used during Palatine street fest as a kids area and also hosts the Palatine Oktoberfest.”

“First time to visit Deer Grove. Overcast, but still a beautiful Fall day. I took the Brown Trail, which is better for hikers or trail runners. It also has a paved bicycle trail. I'm glad they kept them separate. Good exercise and peaceful, unlike the Black Friday crowds nearby.”

“I came in for work, but the campground is something that is new to the forest preserves. It was established in 2015, and while they might have killed some oak trees in the construction, the overall location is marvelous. Housed not too far from complete urban control, it is a welcomed retreat from home away from home. It would serve wonders for the citizens of cook county to get away for a camping trip for a weekend.”
