“A really wonderful park with a nice path and great views of the natural environment. They have a port-o-potty, a covered seating area, and a lot of benches. It's a lot of fun to visit for a walk.”

Segar Memorial Park

Address: 10 Truck Bypass, Chester, IL 62233, USA

Park

“Beautiful area for weary travlers to stop and stretch their legs. Has scenic overlook boardwalk that expanses across a steep hillside, adjacent to the welcome center, to take in the breathtaking views of the Mississippi River. The old Chester Bridge is also well visualized from the boardwalk, and most impressive is the unobstructed view of the construction of the new Chester Bridge over the Mississippi River being constructed. Anyone interested in bridge construction, this would be a must-see event. The website for this welcome center says it's open 24 hours a day. While this may be true for the outside amenities, the welcome center structure was closed and locked on our visit.”

Kasey Meadow Park & Cynthia Neal Center

“Skatepark is closed after Nov 1st every year, until spring. Would be super nice to have that posted online somewhere. The park is very small but looks nice from outside the fence. Some of the layout didn't make sense, but it looked innovative. Just no real flow to it.”

They everything from a merry-go-round to paddle boats, trains, bouncy house and more. If you haven’t been, do it! It’s a super fun family activity, and they have a picnic area on the pirate ship. Roselle Skate Park

Address: Pine Park, 401 E Maple Ave, Roselle, IL 60172, USA

“Definitely a concrete crust park but it looks pretty well maintained. The variety of obstacles is a great mix of street/transition. Park would probably be good for an intermediate to advanced level of skateboarding but has a decent flat ground portion to get comfortable with the basics. Plenty of parking to be found right next to the park. There is a McDonald's right across the street as well as a Walgreens right next to the park for some munchies. Happy skating !!!”

Emmerich Park

Address: 150 Raupp Blvd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089, USA

Park

“Was there for my grandson's baseball game. Asphalt paths to the fields. There are aluminum bleachers. Very well kept up. Playground is small. Didn't buy anything at concession stand. Not sure about pets. The noise from the road is annoying. Big trucks are loud. Also the paths to and from parking lot are hilly. Nice park too bad ball fields are right by the busy road.”

Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve Camping Pod

Address: Crete, IL 60417, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Great little Will county forest preserve district campground. No electricity but there is drinking water and latrines on site. The wooded sites can each accommodate 6 tents and it's arranged so that most tents can have their own little space. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. There's a central area of mowed grass out in the open which is 2 more campsites that you can put multiple tents on. There are some short walking/equestrian trails and a nature center in the preserve. It's clean and maintained. And I was the one there camping on a Friday and Saturday night in June! The wooded sites are not drive-up so a wagon came in handy.”

“The park was calm and quiet. Some guys were playing an intense game of basketball and a little kid ran into their court and the stopped the game for him. Showed such great character. Park was clean. The playground was really HOT I wish there was some shade or atleast not a black ground. They had a little water spout for the kids. I wish this was slightly bigger or had more features. Great park!!”

Village of Bridgeview - Park District Office

Address: 8100 Beloit Ave, Bridgeview, IL 60455, USA

“Some people have terrible opinions about this park district, but I have to add if you are a rude person, don't be surprised if someone is rude or unpleasant to you.
