“Very nice walking paths, very good view of the waterfall that you can actually walk over. Also nice area to walk around the side of the creek or the river. Just wear old shoes or good boots if you're going to walk the path around the river because sometimes it's a bit muddy. Very bad parking unless you park on the opposite side and walk about 5 miles to get to the waterfall.”

“We take our dog to the dog park regularly. You need a pass from the county. They come around occasionally to check for passes. The park is well maintained, they provide bags. A large & separated small dog area. Gravel walk around path, picnic tables (I don't recommend bringing food!!), benches. There is a water pump outside the area. We bring water & bowl and share. There is a Forest outside the dog park. Free parking. The lot is small, however people come & go regularly so be patient and someone will leave.”

“We had a church outing there, got a permit and had a very large group show up. Everything was great, it was clean and a beautiful park as well as a great baseball field we coukd use. We were disappointed that the staff refused to give our large group a better rate for the pool use. We were charged full price, sadly they were not willing to listen or very accommodating at all even after we talked to them and explained that we had a permit and were a large church group. We do this every year at other park villages with pools and have never had this happen before, they are usually willing to work with us and allot more accommodating that Villa Park was.”

“Came here for family photo shoot. We found this forest preserve through a google search. Lots of different scenery- a lake, woodsy area, grassy area, and lots of playground. I think there was a birthday party going on in the area we were at and people were playing bag toss.”

“Nice small park for children. Also includes a swing set and basketball court. Sometimes the city puts out benches so it's a nice hangout spot with a lot of shaded area. Across the street is a nice open field, sometimes holding soccer practice.”
