“A real jewel! On the eastbound return trip from our whirlwind cross country tour, we showed up at 630 PM on a Friday night in August praying we'd get a spot. We did and it's about 3/4 full now. Brand new spots with water and electric. Facility has two dump stations, level paved pass with ample grassy surroundings. Some shady spots available but most are open. There are even 5 equestrian campsites and tent sites separated from vehicular traffic. Dogs allowed but there are breed restrictions and they must remain leashed. You can bring in outside wood but must burn it all. As we approached we didn't think we were in the right area as it seemed industrialized but once we happened upon it we were so so pleasantly surprised. $20 for locals/$35 out of county residents. Note: you drive in and choose your spot first THEN register. Also, no alcohol.”

Peck Farm Park

Address: 4038 Kaneville Rd, Geneva, IL 60134, USA

Park

“The farms are a treat to have in the community. We take our kids here every chance we can get. Its not too big so 1-2 hrs is usually sufficient to breakout and enjoy a quaint little farm just west of Geneva. There are some barns to relax in, a watch tower that affords generous views of the landscape, a butterfly garden in the summers, the Peck house museum offering a glimpse into the farms' history and some relaxing areas by the pond. There is plenty of parking and a really cool and unique playground for kids. If I had to read a book, paint, create or just process ideas and calm my mind, this place would be it!”

“I stopped here for a quiet place to sit and eat dinner. This is a very nice, clean, secluded picnic area with I believe close to a two mile loop for walking. I do not know how busy this spot is on the weekend, but there is only one covered area with tables and a grilling area. If you are planning a family gathering I would highly recommend you reserve the spot. My visit was a weeknight and I was the only one there.”

“Food is always great but for being there on a Sunday morning and sitting in the bar area. If you are not one of the bar tenders regulars, she is less than attentive to you and it was like we were an inconvenience to her. News flash, regulars become regulars because they feel welcomed and taken care of. ”

Stowell Peddy Park

“Pocket park that is close to schools in the west residential areas of South Elgin. Small playground area and gazebo for "hanging out". South Elgins's west side fire department is near by and Randall Rd shopping is a short walk east of the park. Small parking lot is safe and kept up.”
