“I wanna get the bad stuff out the way first. So the prices here are a bit more than most sub sandwich places, but boy is it worth it! I've been coming to this place for years. I wish there were more locations. I moved out of Gurnee and one of the places I miss is Charley's. The food is always fresh and very flavorful. The subs are stuffed with meat. This isn't your typical sub place. So if you like hot fresh good food. This place is worth checking out. It's one of the few places that the food looks like the pictures.”

“I brought my mom here I don't particularly eat McDonald's but it's her birthday, it's what she wanted, she seems to still love McDonald's big mac even at 62 years old. So I took one for the team. “I was never really much one for Wendy's. I just recently started going here. They actually have have really good deals if you use their value menu. They have a cool touchscreen station inside that let's you make your own order with options (none, a little bit, slightly less, normal, slightly more, and extra) for every ingredient and sauces. It's really good to get exactly what you want to order. They even have options for different types of cheese, lettuce, and new sauces that you can swap or put on extra of. The quality of their food is quite good too. It tastes less artificial than McDonald's burgers. But still tastes more like fast food than a grilled burger for a bar and grill. It's a good medium between the two.”

“The French onion soup was delicious and so was the Cobb salad. I order French onion soup wherever available, and this was one of the best. Not overly sweet or salty. I ordered the cheese "crispy" which I would recommend because I saw the soup that other guests had, and the cheese lacked any golden or toasted colors. The fettuccine was also excellent. Egg noodles, fresh veggies, and well balanced.The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and accurate. Lettuce was crisp, fresh, and the salad was huge. Excellent beer selection and lots of televisions to suit every viewing preferences at once.”

Their tables are set up for chess so while we were eating our dessert my wife of 37 years???? and I played our first game of chess in 25 years, she beat me, LOL!
