“Moore Park is a very nice park in the black community that has summer camp. My grandson is just 6 years old and is going to summer camp there now. They have nice things for the children to do all week. From swimming to field trips and they provide lunch and snacks. It is good for a working grand mother.”

“I definitely like this playground for my kids. It's great for young children. Nothing is broken at the moment. Once this summer a swing was, but the park replaced it quickly. The water sprinklers worked during the summer. I myself like playing basketball and soccer here. There's only street parking which can be limited when the neighborhood is busy using it. Otherwise, the park is primarily clean. Restroom is limited to when the park house is open.”

“The cutest little park. Tons of climbing!”
Address: 500 S Depot St, Somonauk, IL 60552, USA
“This is my favorite park here in Somonauk. It's got a nice playground for the kids, a track for running, biking, or skating, basketball court and baseball fields. There's a nice open area for kite flying. A grill for barbeques and a covered picnic area. Also, a couple years ago we rented out the gazebo for my son's birthday party at a very reasonable price and would have done so again this yeah if the weather was more permitting. I like how the track circles the playground so I can skate as I watch my children play. Bathrooms are well maintained.”

“Sad is the state of this park (Illini State) but so is the case all across Illinios. I chose to give this park a 4 because I grew up here and spent all of my childhood roaming this park and I can say if you look for them(kinda hard) there are some truely unique features here. It's off the beaten path so it is a little more private and has easy access to the river. It's really not that far from civiliztion either . So if you want a quiet campout close to the water this may be your park, and while your there help clean up a little... after all it's YOUR park!”

“Such a beautiful place! We didn’t have reservations, but the host was very friendly and got us right in! She also hooked us up with a very nice site. The bathrooms and showers are very clean! Everyone is very friendly here. We will definitely be coming back!!! I highly recommend Illini State Park. Can’t beat the price either!”

“We were really impressed with this preserve. Great place to take family! Trails are well kept up in general. Some new pavilions and picnic tables. The park entrance is literally in the middle of a cornfield, you might not see it unless you were looking for it when the corn is up. Most of the paths are wide enough and smooth enough to bring a jogging stroller. I wouldn't personally recommend a small wheeled stroller or a wagon unless you are just sticking to the main paths which lead to the pavilions. We saw a fair amount of wildlife signs, including squirrel, deer, raccoon, bird, and fawn prints in a mud puddle, as well as squirrels, small fish in the creek, butterflies, and even an indigo bunting (songbird)! There is a large variety of trees too, including buckeyes and some enormous old oaks. It has an outhouse type restroom at the park entrance although it needed a little tlc when we went. The trails are long enough and numerous enough that we couldn't reasonably walk them all in one trip. There is also apparently a trail that extends all the way to Fairbury between the fields.”
