“My "regular" stylist is in Mexico until January and my hair really needed done! So what do you do???? You search Google for salons with 4+ star ratings. Then you read the reviews!!! Then you start calling. Lol. I contacted two salons and they were booked. I had high hopes, but I also knew my chances for a last minute appointment were slim with only three days until Christmas. I called Serenity Hair Design praying someone had an opening for a cut and highlight/lowlight. Thankfully, this cheerful soul answered the phone at Serenity. Her name is Donita Cauble. She was at the salon before they were even open which surprised me. Donita was professional, kind, and really took the time to listen to me. She said she was booked all day, but would make time for me at 2:30pm. I was happy to know I would be presentable during our Christmas photos. However, I was also nervous because I had never had my hair done by Donita. When I arrived at the salon, I was greeted by another cheerful soul (sorry, I forget your name). She welcomed me with open arms and offered me something to drink. The salon design is warm and inviting. I immediately felt relaxed. The salon exceeded my expectations!! My first impression was 10 out of 10! Donita introduced herself to me and we got started on my transformation. Donita was kind, informative, educated, and patiently answered my many questions. She and I had a great conversation. We laughed and talked like we had know each other for years. I felt very relaxed at Serenity. Everyone was so friendly!!! Each employee did their part to make me feel welcome. Donita went on to educate me about the salon. Serenity offers classes to help people learn how to do different things with their hair. I LOVE THIS!!!! I will be participating in this for sure. Donita is amazingly talented!!!! She has been doing hair for over for 25 years. That is so impressive to me! I showed her a photo from Pinterest so she could see the look I was trying to achieve. Donita made me look like a super model!!! I'm not even kidding! She blew me away with her level of knowledge and design skills. I now have a new stylist! Thank you for making me look so amazing for our Christmas photos, Donita!!!! I will see you soon at our next appointment! YOU ROCK!!!!!❤ Keep in mind, the photos are my bed head from the next morning. I haven't even brushed my hair. “Andrea is awesome! I called the night before Christmas Eve because I was researching a skincare kit by Mario Badescu and Andrea answered the phone. Not only was she courteous, but she went above and beyond to help me over the phone with any questions I had. She was very sweet and completely genuine. I was amazed at how nice and helpful she was. She went to the back of the store to find the kit I was looking for and even spoke to me about a different option. She spent time making sure that I understood the product and her knowledge about the product was just on point. She held the product for me until the following day when I picked it up in store. I was hoping to speak with her and thank her in person, but she hadn't arrived to her shift yet. Thank you so much, Andrea. You are an asset to Ulta and they are very blessed to have you. “I brought a picture of the style I wanted to show the stylist. Even with a picture she didn't do what I wanted. Cut was so short that I couldn't even go back to get it fixed. It will take weeks for it to grow out before I can come in for my next haircut. Stylist cut out chunks of hair with a razor. I can't do anything with my hair until it grows out. Hair sticks straight up...very sloppy cut. Stylists name was Karla. Please give me someone different next time with more experience. Yes, will give Supercuts one more chance. UPDATE: Posted this review two weeks ago and the owner has NOT responded. Haircut is growing out and revealing random bald patches on my head! On second thought I DON'T think I will give Supercuts another chance. Moreover, I will be notifying Supercuts Corporate Office regarding this horrific experience. UPDATE: Changed the review to 5 stars because the nightmare had a happy ending. Thank you, Kathy, for fixing my bad haircut. I don't have to wear hats anymore! Moreover, you are an awesome stylist! I will be requesting you in the future. Enjoyed meeting you. God bless you in 2020.”
