I went in with some friends thinking I'd only be able to eat some of the appetizers, but our server was so kind and accommodating, he worked with the chefs to have allergy-free fresh sushi made to order! “We eat here when we visit Lawrence. The food here is delicious. They bring you spinach cheese dip with your mean. It is quite tasty. The salsa is one of my favorites. They have a large variety of dishes on the menu that will satisfy everyone including vegetarians. We will definitely visit this establishment again and recommend it to others.”

“One of my two favorite coffee shops in Lawrence. Decade is one of the priciest coffee shops here but also has the coolest atmosphere. They did an amazing job with the old building they renovated—my only complaint would be as others have said: no outlets. This doesn’t detract from the experience too much since it’s the kind of place perfect for meeting up with people to talk, or studying (non-digitally) when you have a lot of paper to spread around. Not to mention the awesome design choices, like tables/bars with live wood edges. Even the bathrooms are super nice & clean (and non-gendered). It’s actually pretty roomy here, too, even more so when it’s nice out and you can sit outside. And the best part is the coffee! My personal favorites are their pour-overs and flavored lattes (mocha, butterscotch, & honey are all excellent here, and not overly sweet). They have awesome tea and food here too, and most (if not all) of what they serve is made in-house. All of their drinks are served in local artists’ pottery—I particularly like the coffee cups, which I believe are made by Mike Crouch. Oh, and the people there are very nice, too. Ask questions if you need to, and they’re always happy to answer. I could honestly name even more that I love about this place—like how they often host local events, show local art—but it’s better to just visit yourself if you want some of the best coffee in town, an awesome and relaxed atmosphere to hang out in, and a local business that supports local artists!”

“This campground is not in a pretty setting, but we had a great time. Staff is responsive to questions and issues. All is clean. Nice store, great laundry. 6 washers and dryers meant I never had to wait my turn. Friends visited us and stayed in one of that cabins which was clean and had everything they needed. Good sized dog run. Your dog can actually run! We took the RV away for a day for service, left a bunch of stuff there and no one bothered it.”

“This place is consistently consistent. I don’t think I’ve ever been there when it’s crazy. It’s got this cozy hole in the wall bar feel, but a sort of family restaurant. Imagine a place where teachers go for happy hour. That’s Set ‘me Up Jacks. Staff is so so. Some are happy. Some are just there, but friendly. Food is good. Tvs everywhere. Game room. Perfect for the bar fly that wants to hear the giggle of children. I’d say try it out. It may not be for you, but maybe it is.”

“As always the service is great, food was received promptly, fresh and hot. If you like spicier food just ask them for some hotter sauce. Taco Tuesday is a very busy time with $1 crispy tacos and $4.99 for 4 traditional soft tacos. .99 beer as well! I have had numerous items from the menu over the years. Never disappointed!”
