We had a problem of getting our head stone put in the right spot at Louisville Memorial gardens East. Jeff who is one of the caretaker/maintenance employees saw us at the cemetery and ask if we had a problem, which we explained. He ask us a few questions and reassured us he would resolve our problem with our head stone. We went back a few days later and the head stone was put in the proper place and the ground around it was properly leveled out. Jeff took his own time to resolve our problem which was much appreciated with both of us.
For 2 years I’ve been trying to deal with spaces I own and haven’t been able to get the correct answer. Some guy from California always tried to make another sale and when I complained he would cancel and had a funeral or had to do this or that. I called today, got Eric E., the nice wonderful Manager allowed me to voice my opinion. He stayed calm, cool, and collected. He cared and was empathetic and told me he would pull my file and call me back. Within minutes he had an answer and called me back. Then also let me come in today to handle this situation as I didn’t want it to linger more. 2 year is crazy!
Starting off with the previous administration, I had quite a few concerns. My mothers headstone was not ordered after her funeral and I designed it. I was told for 2 months there was a backorder on the marble before they acknowledged they made a mistake and did not order it. I also purchased a bench and the original artwork was changed 3 times prior to my signature as they could not get the design correct. Then I waited over a year just to be told the day it was supposed to arrive that the bench was lost. After jumping through hoops for 2 days I was put in contact with Eric, the New Director, and he had this issue cleared up in 3 days. He not only found the bench that they lost, he called me daily to make sure I was in the loop of the ongoing process. He was very responsive and professional throughout the entire ordeal and this was extremely meaninful to me after what the prior administration had done. I have nothing but praise for Eric and the current staff.
Caleb is very down to earth and made sure I understood every detail and he was very patient.
I really love the fact that he did not come to my home dressed like a rich man coming after my life savings.
I cannot express my gratitude to Louisville Memorial Gardens, especially Caleb Wilkie, for insuring our family’s final resting place is beautifully kept. Caleb, along with his manager Kevin, and the ever so persistent groundskeepers work very hard at keeping LMG pristine.
