“I love this Park. Not all are the same. No disrespect to the others but this one is maintained to a perfection. Almost like a private country club. I especially love the layout. The Baseball Diamonds are in one area. The Soccer fields far away in another and the Swimming Pools and indoor facilities far away at the main gate. This park is huge. It has a nice vibe to it. Peaceful. Very American. Kudos to an old friend of mine . Todd Graves who’s company “Canes Chicken Fingers” has made generous donations. And of course, thank you PARDS Parks and staff for making Livingston Parish a great place to live.”

“I loved this dog park! It was decent size and had poop bags, water hoses, equipment for dogs to play on, and locals have left a pool and dog bowls out for ur fur baby. Theres divided sides for large and smaller dogs. I was traveling and came back three times during our visit. The locals were super friendly too!”

“The new Central Sports Park is a real home run! It’s well taken care of, well lit, and run by friendly people that are engaged in what’s going on! The turfed field are a laundry doing parents dream, and even the t-ball fields are nice. And did I mention the complex has clean bathrooms, which as a dad of 4 little kids, is a dream come true! Gone are the days of holding your breath and hoping you don’t contract a rare disease from just walking through the bathroom doors like when I was a kid! It really doesn’t get any better than watching your kids ball out at future MLB MVP levels, but it sure is nice to do it at a well built, well kempt, well run sports complex. Bravo Central Sports Park. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻”

“Very nice space, and surprisingly large. Could easily play football or soccer here, but I'd avoid baseball since there's no net between the field and the interstate. Relatively new playground equipment and a covered seating area. Also an older basketball court. It's secluded, but being so close to the interstate, I wouldn't call it peaceful. Currently no connection to Dalrymple Drive/ Lakes but hopefully that's on the way in the future.”

“Ira B Melton is great, as long as you know what to expect. It’s not a formal park with paved paths, benches, etc. It’s more of a tiny urban wilderness area crisscrossed with trails and and creeks. It’s very swampy, so expect muddy spots on the trails. Like most undeveloped areas inside the perimeter, it’s thick with invasive plants and trash from decades past, but it looks AMAZING compared to 10 years ago.”

“This is a Beautiful Park with 2 separate playgrounds, it has Covered picnic tables and nice park benches, a Large Pond a Small Pond a Dog Park and a Skate Park. In addition to this they also have Multiple Baseball Fields. And to top it all off they have a very nice Walking trail that goes around the whole park. I highly suggest this park for a day out with the kids or if you just want a nice long walk.”
