“This place is worth the stop in the lost town of Brunswick. It is in a old converted church, and many of the details and architecture-- including Christian icons still exist in a quirky worn style, including the working balcony. The only coffee shop I've ever seen, in many travels in a church. It was quiet and comfortable with a variety of down-home furnishings. If I lived near, I'd go often. But alas may not get there again. Drinks, eats, and sweets were great. Only problem was it was a VERY hot summer day, and there's no AC. But the huge space would be impossible to cool. Up in the mountains, there's not often need-- blame global warming, not the owners. But the ambiance is so other worldly, it's not a big deal. Full of lost mountain hipsters. Brunswick is pretty worn at the edges, so a perfect landing for starving artists looking for cheap space in unique surroundings, not far from the up and coming Fredrick MD and the established DC and Baltimore. Love that they found the place, and kept it frozen in time.”
