“Very nice park, but we had a TON of mosquitoes and got bitten pretty hard. Take some insect repellent when you go out there. We saw a turtle basking, a spider that stand on the water and some very nice trees and bushes. The boardwalk is good shape and lets you walk on the marsh land. We saw a few dogs, but one person was riding an electric bike on the walk paths which was not cool.”

“Cute little park, we came when our daughter was 2 and just returned and she's 3. It's even better now that she's 3 because she can do everything. There was plenty for her at age 2 though. Some older girls, maybe ages 9-12, came while we were there and they were enjoying hanging out too.”

“This little park is within walking distance of my house and has a lot packed into it's small space. There are statues, benches, and an open grassy area where a farmers market happens in season. It is adjacent to a playground young children would enjoy and a baseball field. It is also right next to Watertown City Buildings - so you can run an errand and enjoy a few moments in a beautiful outdoor space before moving on with your day.”

“Trafton is a nice little dog park in the middle of the neighborhood, and you can regularly find a couple of people with their dogs out playing there. The main surface is gravel, but there is also a big rocky hill off to the side that the dogs love running around on (there is a side path to the top for the humans). The gravel means you won't have as much of an issue with dust or mud as you might usually expect. People like leaving toys scattered around, so even if you don't bring anything along, there is usually some fun new thing for your dog to play with. Double gates at both ends are quite secure. If you are in the area and want to give your dog some excitement without traveling far, this is a very good option.”

“I went to Chiesa with my daughter and had a wonderful time. The best part was running into Halé and her goats. My daughter got to visit with the goats and ask questions about what they ate. The land was beautiful. It was the perfect spot for a picnic.”

“One of the best playgrounds for kids in Melrose. It’s fenced in, has shaded picnic tables and plenty of things for the kids to swing, climb and horse around on. The ground is also soft due to the ample mulch ground cover. It’s adjacent to a public school so you can’t come when school is in session.”

Quite small, and just a remnant of what it used to be 100 years ago, but nevertheless well worth a quiet stroll in various seasons to see the foliage change. Like my wife said, "precious."”
