“I was told about Nokomis Service through a mutual friend. My Honda Civic had an oil leak and I wanted to give Nokomis a try! Initially, the owner Joe took a look and determined that it might be a bigger problem than he was willing to take on. I appreciated his honesty with this situation. However, he did feel guilty for not being much use in helping to fix this issue. He said if he could find extra time and get some extra help, he would get in touch with me. Well, those things happened and i brought my Civic back to him. After a day, my Civic was fixed and at a good price. I'm happy to say that i enjoyed working with Joe here (he's really great) and his honesty. He could have gone on a wild goose chase with my vehicle but didn't. “When your 20 year old car blows out a radiator hose on the highway, you may feel like your afternoon just took a nosedive, but quite a few other things could go south before the day's over. For example, when you pull into the first parking lot off the next exit, it might not be a service station. Even if it is, the owner, at 330 in the afternoon, might tell you he can't get to it today. He might tell you he's short staffed (he was), that he has to order a new hose (he did), that his mother-in-law's 91st birthday celebration is that evening (his wife was there waiting to leave with him). Fortunately for me, none of these things happened. Dave, the owner, friendly in an informal sort of way, immediately walked out to my car and quickly saw the problem. After hearing that I lived on the other side of the metro, he walked back inside, calling first his part supplier and then the delivery driver to ensure the part came immediately. It came in 30 minutes, he quickly installed it, and explained to his wife, who was there telling him it was time to go, that he was "trying to help this guy out." She rang me up (a quick google search tells me he wasn't lying when he said the book told him to charge a higher labor cost than he did), and I was on the road within an hour. His wife seemed genuinely surprised when I left a tip, as if giving this kind of service to people is simply a matter of course for them, and for which they don't expect any kind of reward. These are the people you want working on your car.”

“Expensive but worth it. Dental health shouldn’t be ignored. I thought my treatment plan at first was a money grab, because of the high pricing. After looking and comparing online, their prices are fair. The real scam is dental insurance companies, dental insurance pretty much covers minor stuff like X-rays and routine cleanings, and Aspen already offers free X-rays, which other places may charge hundreds. They fit me in quickly as possible, answered all my questions, and my procedure was painless and over relatively fast. Extraction and bone graft was around $930, but they offered a coupon with 25% off so it came to about $745. Mind you, my tooth was pretty complicated and infected. Again, worth the money, this place is clean efficient and friendly. Don’t ignore your dental health, because it only gets more expensive and painful if you do.”
