Phalen Regional Park

This is a wonderful park. Incredible asset for the community. It is a meeting pot for St. PAUL. Fantastic beach, trails for walking and bikes, picnic area. I swim across the lake for training and the water is wonderful. Just swam last night ( Oct 5, 2021) with a wet suit and the water was still warm. Changing house toilets are closed for the season ( Memorial Day to Labor Day), but the city brought in a chemical toilet so they have facilities available.

A beautiful park. Nice beach with life guard. Cool splash pad for children to play in! Cafe open to get treats!

Nice clear lake. Busy place on a Saturday. Most parking places were filled up at beach area. Fun place to take young ones fishing; many Sunny Fish.

Absolutely favorite place in the city. Every single plant was specifically chosen to be in the park to inspire beauty and a sense of calm. It works unbelievably well. One of the most beautiful unexpected gems in the twin cities.

A great 3+ mile walk, beautiful views of Lake Phalen. I like the challenge of the walk with a few spots around the lake with steep inclines/hills to really get your heart pumping. It was a beautiful day so there were many people enjoying the lake, which made the paths pretty crowded. It was difficult to keep a good walking pace with people walking, running, biking, skateboarding, etc... on all the different paths and trying to dodge those going in opposite directions. But overall, beautiful scenery and a great distance for a walk!
