Paradise Park

“Pretty great park not very far off the main road. Great views, decent playground, nice beach and dock. There are a lot of picnic tables spread out throughout the park and a curvy path. The slides on the hill are pretty awesome and I hope the city keeps up on the repair!”

Park

“Tons to do here, all seasons. Lots of well maintained biking and walking trails, a beach, paddle board and kayak rentals, and more. We live in between here, French and weaver lake parks, and love them all. A great summer spot that can feel like you’re not near the cities.. and in the winter, ice fishing and snowshoeing are options. A few years ago they had the polar plunge at Fish Lake, which was a blast. Check it out!”

Field C3-W

Address: 1801 101st Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55449, USA

Park

Holz Farm Park

Address: 4665 Manor Dr, Eagan, MN 55123, USA

Park

“Eagan has done some good events here, but it can be hit or miss. Sometimes the descriptions make you think it's something different than what it is. Also there are events where you have to get tickets and the site doesn't actually link you to them. In general the farm house is nice to tour and area is nice with a playground nearby for kids.”

Wyndham Knoll Park

Address: 6525 Dell Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55346, USA

Park

“Well maintained play area with equipment suitable for my 2 year old granddaughter. Although play area is rather small, it was a perfect outing for a young child. We'll definitely be back.”

Wolsfeld Woods Scientific and Natural Area (SNA)

Address: 2060 County Rd 6, Long Lake, MN 55356, USA

Park

“These woods are snowshoe heaven! Great trails. Rolling hills. Lakes and ponds. With only a few steps it feels like you’re entering into a world far from the hustle of the city. Easy to access. I’ve never found it crowded. Convenient parking in the Lutheran Church lot at the trailhead.”

Carver Beach

Address: Chanhassen, MN 55317, USA

Park

“It's a nice, small area of sandy beach with a children's playground. The swimming area is surrounded by a net for safety. The lake is beautiful of course. The neighborhood surrounding it is full of well-manicured homes and gardens making for a scenic place to take a long walk. The only warning to give is that the playground/beach is only accessible by a long flight of stairs. If you or someone with you has a condition that makes stairs challenging, either prepare for a workout or consider another playground.”

Freeway Park

Address: 1370 County Rd E, St Paul, MN 55112, USA

Park

“It's an ice rink park with a warming house on the intersection of busy roads. There's a small unpaved parking lot, and a porta-potty. There are no other amenities. This is not a park for summer play. In Circle Pines, there's an ice rink which contains basketball hoops and tennis courts so that it can be used all year round, and seems to be a much more efficient use of space.”

William H. Houlton Conservation Area

Address: 1825 Main St NW, Elk River, MN 55330, USA

Park

“A beautiful area to observe animals and take in the area between Elk and Mississippi rivers. Rough trails so it probably isn't great for people not steady on their feet, or for small kids. We went in March and with snow melting soon, it will get mucky. We saw eagles, hawks, deer, gees, swans, and evidence/tracks from coyotes and maybe wolves and big cats. We'll need rubber boots if we go back there soon. Definitely a beautiful place to go. Leave your dogs at home though, dogs (even on leash) are not allowed.”

Elmcrest Park

Address: 16303 Quicksilver St NW, Ramsey, MN 55303, USA

Park

“Good , spacious and well maintained , the path and trails are good for walking. The soccer field is great and full of green grass that a rest for eyes. Clean restrooms. You can celebrate birthday or other events by renting. Indoor place is limited but the parking area is big. My kids love the play area which is not that big but enjoyable for the kids.”

Neill Park

Address: 13501 Upton Ave S, Burnsville, MN 55337, USA

Park

“There are two playgrounds within the same woodchip area. One for 2.5 and up and another for kids 4 and older depending on capabilites. No handicapped accessible gear. Watch your bags as the ants are abundant. The sledding hill is huge. You'll have quite the ride down and a nice long hike back up. There is an ice house with two skating rinks nearby. Plenty of parking.”

Rum River North County Park

Address: 23100 Rum River Blvd NW, St Francis, MN 55070, USA

Park

“I just love this north part of the park. I discovered it one weekend when I was visiting my friend in Isanti for the weekend and I brought my dog. We decided to stop at the park on my way back to the cities as my girl is a big swimmer! The best thing about this entrance is it's free!! Because it's notthe Central Park entrance and considered a fishing pier and canoe access you don't have the state park fee. A great walking trail, probably a mile. I didn't do the trail only the beginning. There is a Pavilion, a playground and a fishing Pier. A fabulous spot along the river! I highly recommend making a stop, a Hidden Gem!”

John Burch Park

Address: MN-19, Cannon Falls, MN 55009, USA

Park

“Great night of baseball at a wonderful field. Absolutely love venturing out to the "town ball" parks. No place else you can get 2 Busch-lites, 2 hotdogs for $10. Nice way to support the teams, be entertained, plus enjoy a beautiful evening outside. Highly recommend!”

Liberty Park with Dog Park

Address: Liberty Park, New Hope, MN 55428, USA

Park

“Great area for off leash fun. It's not open for dogs in the winter because it is turned into a hockey rink. There's also a frozen area for figure skating. Nice park for kids. The building on site, is turned into a warm space to get the chill off.”

VFW Fields & Lot

Address: Otsego, MN 55330, USA

Park

“Lots of wide open spaces and rarely very many people. It works great as a place to fly rc airplanes and drones. Flat and no trees, awesome place to launch and run long range airplanes. Great to run to the river and all around for miles north. Very pretty sunsets.”

Cannon Valley Trail - Administrative Office

Address: 825 Cannon River Ave, Cannon Falls, MN 55009, USA

Address: 1584 Hadley Ave N, Oakdale, MN 55128, USA

Park

“Great park for a family BBQ! It's a must! You can have your car in the grass also only one tho and they don't say nothing. Even tho you right next to a police station it's lay back I think depending on your ppl and family..... frfr”

Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board

Address: 55 Malcolm Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414, USA

Park

“Tower Hill Park, in the Prospect Park neighborhood, on top of the highest natural landform in Minneapolis, overlooks the University of Minnesota and downtown Minneapolis. I've never heard the 110-foot tower atop this hill called anything other than "The Witch's Hat," which aptly describes the shape of its roof. The tower, built in 1913, is open once a year, during nearby Pratt Elementary's annual ice cream social.”

Fort Snelling State Park

Address: 101 Snelling Lake Rd, St Paul, MN 55111, USA

Park

“We cannot change our future without first examining our past. I visited here many years ago and found the experience interesting. Now returning many years later as an adult I've found they have put in more work to keep the fort intact and made a wonderful welcome center. There is so much to learn. Plan for at least 1.5-2 hours if you want to briskly walk through. However, to deeply immerse yourself and experience all the presentations they offer plan for at least 3. There is no food offered here so pack a lunch if needed. Also make sure to check the weather as most of it is outside.”

Edina Browndale Park

Address: 4599-4501 Browndale Ave, Edina, MN 55424, USA

Park

“Idyllic setting along Minnehaha Creek. Check out the mill pond at 50th avenue. Gracious sprawling homes datung from the 1930s. Natural quiet space the midst of a super active metropolis.”
