“Seriously a beautiful place, especially at sunset. You can get amazing views of Saint Paul while the sun is setting. A must go to if you’re in Saint Paul or not. Because the views are that good. You can also see the actual Indian burial mounds which are also very neat to see. Highly recommend. This is definitely what makes the east side what it is. A true gem of the east side.”

It would also be more enjoyable if other people enjoying the park would social distance and wear masks. But...what do I know? “We grew up we called this rocket Park and so with the kids today we still call it rocket Park but it's John Ward Park and it has always been a really fun park in the whole area kids can create quite imagination with that playset you can crawl in the rocket kids just have a lot of fun there I guess maybe I have a lot of fun there too it brings back a lot of good memories I would bring your family there it's a good place there's a church across the street you can have picnics there they have covered shelters they have a skate park right by it and they also have bathrooms there good family environment area”

“This is a really great park with nice steep trails that make for a good workout. There is some noise from the highway but once you get in the woods it isn't too bad. The best time to go is early spring and late fall when there's less bugs. Really convenient location of 212 for the Southwest suburbs. I can't believe I grew up in Eden Prairie and never had been there! Its really nice, my kids love it.”

“Great Nature Center right in the heart of the cities. Trails where maintained well and flat for an easy stroll. Lots of great birds - especially water fowl. Also seen a little Muskrat. The trails go through wooded areas, meadows and a great boardwalk cuts through the park. Lots of nice benches to rest on & enjoy the sights. Only downside is one side of the park runs along 35W so it was pretty loud .. but now I know so I will divert next time!”
