“This park is still a lot of fun that holds a lot of memories for me and my family. A great place for a kid to use his imagination. My only qualm is that it needs a fresh coat of paint and some assurance of disinfecting in this time of covid-19.”

“Beautiful and peaceful little garden. Especially loved the featured water fountains and features in every little pockets. Lovely place to capture a moment filled with fragrant flowers and blooming nature at its best. Hidden from the busy streets of the metro area is a this secret garden where you can sit under a shaded tree and smell fresh gardenias and exotic citrus fruits.”

“I love this park I love the new Labyrinth they put in very tranquil but I heard that this summer they're going to take the Labyrinth away and put in some type of Chiefs symbol... which I think is a big mistake... I will not be going to that Park as much if they take the Labyrinth away... which I think is the best part of that Park... why ruin a good thing????”

“Wonderful community garden oasis within the city. It has community plots, as well as individual ones. Flowers, some edible flowers, vegetables, fruit trees, a lily pond and more. They also have chickens and ducks, which they keep for eggs. A plethora of information from the gardeners on how reclaim land for organic gardening.”

“It's a good park with courts and benches, a lot of open space for frisbee and soccer, and paved trails connecting to all the other park space along Brush Creek. It is right next to one of the waterfalls as Brush Creek widens. It's right on Swope Pkwy with a little lot that can fit about 10 cars. I would suggest approaching from the east for best entry by car.”

“Hyde Park is a fantastic park in Kansas City! Though its playground equipment is somewhat underwhelming, It is a huge park that offers a well kept lawn for kids and dogs to play on. It really shines as a place to go to jogging or to walk a dog since it has a very long, well paved path (crossing several streets) to travel, with interesting views of the pilgrims garden, fountains, etc. It is also best for any kind of lawn activity like playing catch, croquet, cornhole, etc. There are plenty of beautiful shade trees and the lawn is well mowed at all times, with trash cans available. It's a great picnic spot for this reason in the summertime. On the north end (which I am most familiar with), there are free outdoor movies shown some Fridays through the summer and some other seasonal events. In the winter (when it snows), families go sledding on the giant hillsides near the north tennis court. On the same leg, but a little further south, you can walk the butterfly/pilgrims garden (great for meditation), and some kids playground equipment and swings. There are no bathrooms, though there are plenty of trash receptacles. Sometimes there are doggie poop bags in the dispensers, but often not, so please bring your own. There is also a water fountain near the pilgrims garden, but I haven't seen it operational often. Definitely one of my favorite parks, for both the convenience and the variety of things to do/see!”

“This is an outstanding five star KOA! like most KOAs it is very clean the staff is nice but it is exceptionally clean and there are a lot of things for the family to do. They have miniature golf they have a blow up bouncy bed, a playground, and a little water mining table where you can have your kids pretend to be minors. There's also volleyball and basketball. They have restrooms and showers but they also have family restrooms and showers which was really accommodating to my parents that are 82 and 85 years old. We did not stay in one of the cabins but we got to look inside and they are very cozy and clean as well. Great staff and very accommodating. The young man who took us to our site came up and told us after we parked if there's anything we meet feel free to ask we're here for you. Very nice to see the younger generation being respectful and doing their job! The campsite is not far from I-70 but as you drive through the apartment developments to get to it don't be fooled the campsite is very nice very safe and secure! We saved this campground to our KOA camp app and we will definitely be here again!”

“Nice little ballpark with two fields. Fair amount of bleachers provided and mostly shaded by larger trees. Very little space to sit in lawn chairs. The space that is provided would accommodate wheelchairs. Seating only along one side of either field so basically forced to sit in bleachers or stand. Concession stand and clean bathrooms provided. Only attended T-ball games there and space was more than adequate for those. Large parking lot provided. Park across the parking lot is nice also.”
