“Walked to the quarry overlook. From the parking lot we used, it was dooownnn a STEEP hill, uuuup a STEEP HILL with some fairly level in between. Not a long walk but a darn good work out! (For me @ least.)”

“Great small little park. It has close parking to all parts of the park. You have the ability to walk a cemented trail with quick physical activity stations. In addition there is a field for baseball, football, or soccer. Two basketball nets within the park. There are plenty of pavilions as well. The best feature is the playground for children and a water feature that is on from time to time during the summer.”

“We really love 370 Lakeside Park and not only because it is ten minutes from the granddaughters. The park is very well kept and the staff is kind and accommodating. There is lake that is perfect for kayaking (no motor boats) and fishing (do not need a license if you are a guest at the park). A 3+ mile walking/biking trail that circles the lake with enough small rises to get the heart rate up a bit. At the end of the lake there is a beautiful (and protected) wetland area perfect for bird watching. The park has a dog park plus there is a lot of paved and grassy space to walk a furry kid. If you have human kids there is a small playground and a sand volleyball court that seems to have more sandcastles than volleyball games. The RV park proper is large. There are three loops of RV spaces two of which have concrete pads. All are very level and most have full hookups. The end spaces in each loop have a direct view of the lake. And, there is a lot of space between RVs with grass BUT there are NO trees. If you are looking for shade, you are out of luck. All in all this is a great park with rates on par with other parks with comparable services. We are traveling with a 39 foot fifth wheel.”

“Such a beautiful place to walk. Also the meramec is right there and is easily accessible. I'll be coming back here more often. Definitely a good place to being kids although I'd bring bug spray. Good job to whomever takes care of the grounds there. We will be back for sure. 👍 👍 👍”

“The place is great for both Pets and Kids. 2 dog areas and 1 at the moment for kids. Swings for all sizes. A Pavilion. Large area for frisbee, there's a ball field past Minion Park on the left on the way to Duchesne. Seems I see more Dogs at the park on Sundays from 10am to 1pm so if your pet needs to socialize, even through the fence, come on down.”

“This is a small tract of land for how much it has for the true nature lover. Come see natural Missouri wildflowers if you look closely. Yes, the edges are infested with Honeysuckle but the forest in generally pretty healthy for being in such a populated area.”

“Seems off the beaten path even though it's not. Lovely place, I just wish people would pick up after themselves , lots of broken glass and trash. It has a small parking lot that gets full , especially on summer days. Lots of people from about 10 am until 5 pm. Adjacent to a few trails that are heavily used by cyclists. The path to the gravel bar can get super muddy after rain and/or high river levels. Check with NOAA website for Meramec River levels before packing up the car with gear if you are planning on wading or swimming. There is no lifeguard (obviously as it is the river) so swim at your own risk. Very little shade during the summer as well so pack sunblock and or a pop up shade structure or Umbrella.”

“We brought our 9-mo old out to the lark and she enjoyed all of it. The young playground, the swings, all of the green was perfect. Every pavilion had water spigots which was great to see. Very clean park and lots of parking.”

“A cool pull off the road Conservation Area. A marshland preserved area next to Bean Lake once explored by Lewis and Clark. A little drive along side Bean Lake with a couple of pull off areas. You can load in a boat into the lake from this area. A good area for viewing waterfowl and wildlife. Ending in a graveled parking lot where you can walk a very nice paved trail to 2 viewing areas. Sycamore and cottonwood trees line the trails. The viewing blind at the end of the trail had been removed from the moorings for some reason? We didn't make it the observation tower, but look forward to going there next time, hope it's not torn down. Nice peaceful area! No picnic tables or eating areas. No facilities.”
