“Beautiful spot for a stop over on my way out west. Walked down to a tent camping site with my gear. The sites are pretty close to each other but the campground was almost empty on a Thursday night, so I felt very secluded. Recommend for anyone camping cross country.”

It is located next to everything you might need, restaurants is across the street walking distance .. Along with all kinds of shops, fast food, dine in etc...the front desk made us feel welcome and at home the minute we arrived thanks. We are extended stay. So the kitchen was a blessing .. Has everything u need. Down to the utensils and dish soap. I rate this place 6 stars and the employees 5 stars everyone of them...oh almost forgot the best part .My dog is allowed.”

“I have been going through something and through everything, I forgot to order my son a birthday treat to share with his class until the day before! I called another grocery store first but they told me they couldn’t take my order unless it was within 24 hours and understandably so. I called the Hickory Flat Kroger bakery and Miss Ann picked up. I told her I had a very last minute order and would understand if she couldn’t take it. She did not hesitate to tell me she would do it for me! She heard the quiver in my voice and immediately began to reassure me all would be ok and spoke to me as if I was a good friend. When I picked it up, she told me I had been on her mind all day and helped me get it into my cart. She told me she had once been in my shoes and that she understood how I felt. She left me with more encouraging words and a smile on my face. This wonderful woman it truly a light in a very dark time in my life! Kroger is very lucky to have such an amazing lady on their team. “Amazing! The swim beach was perfect, the water was clear and cool, you could see the fish swimming around. Huge beach so.it never really got too crowded. Lots of picnic tables. Lots of space to ride bikes and go on walks. The surprising highlight was the lake side shop. Lots of things to see, do, buy, and rent. They have pretty much anything you could ask for (or may have forgotten). Fire wood, sunscreen, dishes, condiments, sand toys, floating toys/gear for the beach, toothbrushes, fishing gear, etc. The staff was also super nice They also have a mining experience, you buy a bag for $7-$10, go to the mining station, and pan for your fossils or gems. My 3 kids LOVED it. Freshwater fill is at the dumpstation (first right after entering the gates) The whole trip was amazing and the whole family had a great time.”
