(May 15, 2023, 12:58 am)There aren't too many places that allow you to touch the artifacts in a museum. Yes it's a small place but it has a lot of history and one of the few place that still sit where it was first erected. Going into a school house that's well over a hundred years old with the original floors, blackboard, and school bell. Pretty cool. Oh and it's free, just asking for donations which we kindly obliged .

(August 10, 2022, 1:35 pm)What a fantastic collection of historical artifacts and memorabilia from and around the Dayton area. The Dayton Museum pays tribute to the town site of Nevada's earliest settlement it was comprised primarily of Prospectors and settlers looking for gold. Museum has some wonderful artifacts from the mining era as well as exhibits documenting Dayton's growth. The museum is only open on the weekends it is well worth the trip. Please keep in mind that museum is staffed by volunteers you are giving you their time to make available this fantastic facility. You have any questions just ask as their knowledge runs deep.

(April 24, 2018, 1:24 pm)Great little local history museum! They are currently working on a new exhibit on area veterans. Some beautiful dollhouses and all of the standard sorts of artifacts you find in local history museums. Staff/volunteers were very kind and well informed!
