“We recently stayed at Periwinkle Inn after doing lots of research on other hotels in the area. Honestly, on arrival the rear of the building was not appealing but not many are... the front is very nice but once you get inside we were very happy! this charming boutique hotel had a great layout and beautiful garden area, the clean and inviting pool area, the kids area with playhouse, shuffle board, picnic tables & sand area were all great. the staff were friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. Our room was on the ground floor with sliding doors to a patio with chairs and table. it was very nice to be able to walk out to the pool area. Our room was very clean & nicely decorated with two queen beds, kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, a small table and chairs & beautiful bathroom. it is a “beachfront” hotel located directly across from the beach like all the hotels there. it was very easy to walk with your beach gear. We were very happy with the Periwinkle Inn the feel of a quaint family hotel even in comparison to the bigger more expensive hotels. We will definitely return to the Periwinkle Inn.”

“Clean and comfy room, friendly staff, 'eclectic' décor, great beach access, walkable to downtown and shopping, cheapest way by far that we could find to stay in Cape May proper (we stayed two nights during Christmas light tour). Know before you go - limited parking, not the quietest rooms, many rules that are understandable but may seem like a hassle to some guests (designated parking place, guest policy, check out time, no ice machine - use in-room fridge for ice, etc. If you have a particular peeve or request - ask before reserving!). Overall - a good value for what it is and where it is. Would stay again.”

“Me and my boyfriend stayed here while on a 5 day vacation. We weren't at the hotel much except to sleep and maybe stop in for a nap, but it when we were there it was lovely. The bed was AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!! Lots of people complain about the room size, but it didn't bother us. The a/c in the room was nice considering it was a very hot week. The whole parking situation was a little confusing at first, but we got used to it quickly and didn't mind it. Almost everything you need is within walking distance anyway! There really isn't anything to complain about! Staff was very friendly and hotel was super clean! Definitely would stay here again if we ever vacation in Cape May again!”

“Great night. I wanted to go to a restaurant that was dog friendly after a day at the beach with my puppy. They have a dog menu which I thought was a nice touch. The regular menu had a lot of variety and my food was very good. I loved the outdoor dining atmosphere. Nice casual restaurant that is also dog friendly.”

“Staff was incredibly kind during stay. Cannot beat location, beachfront and a 5 minute walk to downtown. Very nice upkept pool. They also have a nice outdoor shower area for cleaning sand off. Rooms were a bit outdated, but still clean and comfortable. We visited on Labor day weekend, and were amazed that dolphins were feeding in the ocean directly across from hotel. They were there every time we went to the beach.”

“Excellent b&b, great staff esp Michelle who checked us in, and was available afternoon and eves. Loved the wine and cheese spread in late afternoons. Delicious breakfast with nice choice of entrees, fresh fruit, etc. very friendly and attentive staff then too. (Don't remember their names ). Our room was easy to get to, on first floor with a partial ocean view. Loved it! The decor was perfect, turndown service with chocolate too! Def will stay here again. Mgr/co-owner Jeff was excellent too. Can't wait to return. We used to live close by when first married, and visit Cape May often. Has been over 25 yrs since we stayed at b&b, and this was excellent in every way.”

“My boyfriend and I stayed here about a month ago and loved it! They were very accommodating and worked around food allergies...plus the food was delicious!! The location is great, the room was beautiful and had everything we needed. The innkeepers were super friendly and gave us great recommendations for things to do during the day. A nice touch is they always had snacks left out in the afternoon to enjoy! We can't wait to come back!”

“Was going to Cape May for a fall weekend and a 5K and decided I wanted to bring the dog. Our room was clean and had the feel of a Cape May Victorian. My dog isn't very dog friendly so it was nice to have a balcony to let him out while I sat out to enjoy the fresh air. I didn't try the breakfast but I heard the others saying it was great. It's a very convenient place, you can come and go as you want and you're close to pretty much everything!”

“The Star is part of the Cape Resorts empire - so if you arrive on a week day you can check in at the main desk of Congress Hall. They have different sized rooms. Ours was quite small and cozy - on the 3rd floor of the main building there (The Star is really two buildings). Everything is as it should be - clean and pretty. House keeping checks on you twice a day - once in the morning, and then once in the late afternoon in case towels need replacing and beds need straightening.”

“My husband and I had a wonderful experience at King's Cottage. Our room was spacious and cozy, and the location was perfect - just two houses down from the beach, and a short walk to shopping at the Mall. Complimentary beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas were provided which we gladly took advantage of. The parking lot was tight so if you drive a bigger vehicle think carefully about how you can get out once you're in! There is 15 minute metered parking in front of the Cottage which we used when packing up the car before leaving. Breakfast, while light, was delicious and served promptly. Everything was very clean and well kept, and Barbara was so nice and friendly. Highly recommended!!”
