“Update: Moo Yai Thai was featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. Season 42 episode 21. Watch On Demand. This place opened on April 2019. They started off with basic Thai dishes. Drinks, my current favorite is the coconut water with coconut meat. Also try the traditional Thai iced tea or the Thai tea with lime juice. Apps, I love the curry puffs. The pastry is very light and the stuffing is delish! Actually get the Moo Yai sampler and that will include the puffs, chicken satay, pork skewers and dumplings. Dumplings by the way has good portion of ground pork. Let me just state my favorite dishes Pad Thai chicken Steak salad Coconut soup with chicken Pineapple fried rice Seafood fried rice (good portion of crab meat!) Specials (dine in only) Steak cut in strips Crispy duck Pork cooked 2 ways Chicken with peanut sauce (similar to chicken satay) Garlic shrimp which is the number one favorite special Desserts you both enjoy the fried bananas and mango sticky rice. “The room was perfectly adequate for the price point. Clean, comfy beds with plenty of fresh linens. Large showers with great water pressure. Mini fridge and microwave provided. The only thing missing for me was a coffee maker, but I knew about that from a previous trip and brought my own. The pool is fantastic, especially if you're traveling with younger kids, or you just want to chill in the water with a drink. It's got a deeper end, but about 70% of it is 3 feet deep, with lots of lounging areas. The Tiki Bar has a great basic selection of American style favorites on the food menu. Live music on the weekend is a nice touch. The location, right on the river and just across the street their private beach, really can't be beat. I can't wait to see what the boutique rooms look like when they're finished! This place will be a summer time staple with our family.”
