“After more than 12 years of increasing excruciating pain, from four (4) damaged Lumbar disks, [L2-S1], and when Medicare began to deny my use of the only medication which alleviated this pain, I switched doctors to Dr. Isaiah Florence, of Teaneck, NJ. He did first an overnight trial for an Intrathecal Pump and then a month later, performed the implant. While this machine does not stop the degeneration of my problems due to aging and normal se, it has brought the daily pain down to a bit more than a level 1. I still have breakthrough or acute pain and for this Dr. Florence has prescribed something else. The main thing is that without help from Dr. Florence, I would not be able to walk, sit, sleep, or even at times, breathe, without horrible pain. I can now stand up straight and walk and live a nearly normal life, thanks to his implant of the Medtronic Intrathecal Pump.”
