“Very pleasant morning walk. I had the park all to myself.”

“Love this place! It's not fancy, but they normally have a great selection of really healthy plants, and I think their prices are fair. Run by two very nice ladies who know their stuff. Much better than buying plants at a big-box store. Very convenient location if you are located in Cape May, West Cape May, or the Point. They always have great mums in the fall!”

“Excellent place to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of Cape May. Three different paths to walk of varying lengths. Excellent birding location.”

“Parking at this spring is difficult as you can't fully pull off the road. I stop for water here if I'm in the area as spring water is better than tap water, hands down. However, I find that the water here isn't always consistent. I have been here after a pop-up thunderstorm and the water has run murky. I'm used to the ice cold water from the Mine Hill Spring which unfortunately has been shut down now for years. Here the water can range from cool to cold, however, it's spring water and I still enjoy it more than the tap.”

“Excellent memorial to men of the sea who become lost, nice setting with resting benches and flower garden”

“Very nice hike with an interesting fire watch tower. Hike up to the tower and have a picnic at the base of the tower. You might even run into hikers hiking the Appalachian Trail. We ran into a young woman who started in Georgia and was passing through the area so we shared some of our lunch with her.”

“Is it expensive to get in? Heck yeah but the funds go to the Boy Scouts groups and directly back into the camp. It was a very well organized tour of Camp Crystal Lake and memorable for patrons. Beautiful location, they keep this place well maintained. I’m all about any person or organization who works so hard to preserve a piece of the natural land.”

“Great hike. Ran into one couple with a dog. They were very friendly. Hike up to the Catfish Fire Tower. Great views on a clear day. Visible to the west is Catfish Pond.”

“I've used this ramp a bunch of times this summer, never had a problem. Ramp is free, and usually not too busy. People put in everything from jet skis to 30 foot boats. There's a small dock alongside the ramp so you can tie up while you go get your trailer. Plenty of parking to the right of the ramp that is designated for trucks/trailers only (no restaurant or public parking). Ramp is definitely better during high tide, low tide is fine for jet skis but I wouldn't try a big boat.”

“This is extremely adequate for what it is. This is a State Park so enforcement of the rules are firm but it is very spacious tables and verandas. There is a small nature center with live critters and restrooms. The beach is large but no swimming allowed. They also have long boardwalks for birders but no food, but the Cape May Lobster House is not far away. And of course the Lighthouse itself.”

“another one of the Hidden gems of the Cape May area... Keep an eye out for it while you're driving and you will not be disappointed in both the beautiful natural reserve and the unique nature store that supports the Nature Center.”

“I’ve camped there a few times and love it. It’s a nice campground, the camping sites are a good size, the place is well maintained and the staff is *really* helpful. It’s a short walk from the beach and everything else in town. The only minor con is that they don’t have fire rings (people keep stealing them), but they tell you to just build your fire on the ground. But just bring a couple of cinder blocks with you for the grill and you’re fine. Still 5 stars in my opinion.”

“My 9 year old daughter and I rented a double kayak for the 10 am tour. Our guide was a marine biologist who was super enthusiastic about Cape May and the marsh lands. He was able to point out dozens of different birds and explain a lot about the ecology of the marsh. He also knew a lot about the history of the island. I would totally recommend the tour to others. My wife was really worried that it would be too much for my daughter. It was not! She had a great time. The location is totally calm and chill. Any non trained person could take a kayak out here.”

“Good place for a speed walk or a stroll through the woods. Dog friendly as long as you pick up after them.”
