“New York Chess and Games is place to be. When my daughter was younger she always wanted to play with the life-sized chess set that was displayed outside. Always pulling me to go inside the store. Fast forward to now, I decided to purchase 8 sessions for her to learn to play not knowing if she would like it or not. SHE LOVES IT SO MUCH SHE IS ASKING TO ATTEND and that is huge especially for my tween. Mr. Christian and his staff are so welcoming you feel at ease knowing you can drop your kids off and come back when the session is over or wait around and learn from a distance. His approach to teaching is fun for the kids, his jokes are funny and he is very patient. He is an amazing teacher to say the least. My daughter's skill set has grown tremendously and also her love for chess. If you are looking to learn chess for yourself or your children look no further.”

“I love taking lessons with John. I'm definitely a weird case for any instructor - I've been playing for 15 years, but I never worked with any teachers on building out my fundamentals correctly. John pinpointed my ability and exactly where I needed to improve. He didn't need a ramp up period - in only one lesson we hit the ground running. After just a few months of lessons, I've improved enormously and it feels like there's more potential on the horizon. The exercises he gives me are spot on and for the first time I'm really enjoying practicing. Taking lessons with John is the real deal - he's truly transmitting what it means to play and I can see him easily transitioning between players of any ability with patience. I admire him as a musician, and he's also just an awesome guy. Would recommend to anyone.”

“I am a new patient at this office and I gotta say they are absolutely the best medical practice I have visited in a long time. Starting with the office staff, very personal and thoughtful. They remember you and really try to help you in terms of quick referrals and documents if you need them. My PCP is awesome, Dr Malary-Carter is knowledgeable, personal and really gets an A in bed side manners. She really listens to her clients and makes you feel like you are the most important person at that time. I have not felt that way from a doctor in a very long time. She really reviews your areas of health and follows up accordingly. Lastly the office is comfortable and clean. I’m glad I found this medical office for sure and I’m very particular about my health and my doctor. So I do not give good reviews easy.”
