“Super cool spot! Very chic and big open space. The receptionist was very welcoming and sweet. She explained everything clearly and was very helpful. I got work done by a traveling artist so I cant speak for the in-house tattoo artists but from what I saw, everyone is extremely talented in their own craft. Highly recommend!”

“Lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years & first time eating here, not sure why but it will be added to my regulars from now on. Walking along the avenue and decided to grab a bite, glad we did ! Food was absolutely delicious & the coffee was very good which is very hard to pull off for diners. Mike & staff were so welcoming, so attentive checked on us quite a few times which is really important to me when dining out. Beautiful weather & a fantastic meal is a perfect way to get yourself going !!”

“TLDR: Great shop, friendly staff, and fantastic price for the area ($20 for students, $27 regular). Definitely going back, and would definitely reccomend. Just stopped in after a day of classes to get a much needed cut (shaved sides and 3-5'' scissors on top). The shop was empty when I walked in, and I was welcomed and served immediately. Told him what I wanted and he went at it, having me check throughout the process to make sure I was happy with what he was doing. He even offered me and the other client waiting a beer/shot (included in the price of the cut) which is always nice. We engaged in small talk and he finished up with a hot foam shave. Overall this was a great find in the Clinton Hill / Fort Green area and you CANT beat the PRICE! Especially for students! Many other shops charge 35-55 for essentially the same cut. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a great barber experience!”

“Got my first tattoo done here. Wonderful environment with great artists that really listen to you. Not rushed getting the stencil on, not pressured into any design, and most importantly VERY clean. A very safe environment to get tattooed, especially for women and lgbt folks. Can't recommend this place enough, and can't wait to return!”

“It's the only non-profit daycare that I know of, and it is Jewish. You have to come and see if it is what you are looking for of course, but the people who run it and who work there are active members of the Brighton Beach community so there is a level of personal accountability which doesn't exist in other daycares. The folks who operate the non-profit send their own children there up through the maximum age they can, which meant something to me as well.”

“An overall amazing experience. I've been here years ago and I love the fact that everything always change. They provide exhibits on things happening now from amazing artist from all over. A lot of walking will happen and you will also need to present you vaccination card for entry. Make sure you are wearing proper footwear and expect that they are following safety protocols. Absolutely amazing and educating experience. Definitely would recommend taking the trip.”

“I have been taking private conversational lessons with Emile over Zoom since March 2020. It has been a great experience as my French, which was rusty at first, has improved tremendously from the class. We speak about a different topic each week and that has helped me build a more varied vocabulary and has made me more adept conversationally. I would recommend private conversational lessons for all levels as the one-on-one attention has been extremely helpful. I have also found that taking the class over Zoom has not necessarily detracted from the overall experience as I believe I am getting a similar level of instruction and interaction as if it were in person. Emile has also been a great instructor as he is patient and works at your level.”

“Amazing place. We suggest you get reservations because there is always a good crowd there. The food is delicious and delicate and artistic and beautiful and subtle and robust. You will experience so many flavors. We had the half chicken 🐓 and the steak 🥩 and the Lamb 🐑. So many flavors. All the meat was tender and juicy just fall off the mouth type. The waitress was super knowledgeable and made great suggestions. If you want to try something different but comfort food this is the spot. The owner was there and spoke to us super friendly and kind and wanting for everyone to have a great time.”

“A true gem in the typoshpere - as he will quickly give you a reasonable estimate in a matter of seconds upon looking at a problem typewriter and then tops it off with often fixing your typewriter in less than 24 hours - at least that has been my experience in bringing two Corona Silent typewriters - one 1938 and the other 1946. Also he was a number of typewriters that he sells too - as I ended up walking away with a 1928 Remington typewriter for a reasonable price after some restoration. So glad I found him! Highly recommend and will always return for my typewriter needs.”

“Not sure what I would do without them. My all-in-one DJ controller was in very poor shape after a week in harsh conditions. While the repairs took a while (understandable, and they responded quickly when I asked for updates), my decks are better than ever! Very professional.”

“Dr. O'Connor is very caring and practical. She has been helpful each time we have seen her. I don't think she is taking new patients anymore, though - you can call to check but we were told she isn't. But she is great with the kids and the practice runs quite efficiently.”

“This is a fantastic flower shop. I came to NY for a memorial service and needed flowers. After calling several stores, they produced and delivered a centerpiece and two smaller arrangements within three hours. They were very professional, had enough fresh flowers and worked quickly under pressure. If there was a flower show in Brooklyn, this shop would win. Thanks for making the family and guests at the service happy.”
