“Gari is open again after a long renovation ( to the building itself, not so much the restaurant). The space is actually smaller now as they lost a row of tables between the sushi bar and the windows; the big table is gone too. Space aside, the sushi was as fresh and delicious as ever. Great to taste all your old favorites. Still outrageously expensive, but a fun and guilty pleasure nonetheless.”

“The only place I could find in NYC to help address an injured bird (pigeon, specifically). I'm extremely grateful as the majority of vet hospitals and clinics, even emergency clinics, only seem to treat cats and dogs. I visited several before finding Wild Bird Fund. Skip the search and come straight here for injured birds. There's an avian hospital across the street for domesticated birds. Sincerely, thank you for all that you do. Send a donation if you can spare a few bucks; Wild Bird Fund's efforts are unrecognized and underrated.”

“What's undeniable is that the client comes first here. Three days after they provided a killer office air duct cleaning service, they called me to see if everything was still up to my liking. This call was not expected but it was totally refreshing. I must say Flatrate Air Duct Cleaning’s workmanship was impeccable, and all the technicians they sent were delightful and courteous. Any business owner who needs duct cleaning regularly is making a wise decision going to Flatrate Air Duct Cleaning. This I'm sure of.”

“Tons of variety, beautiful produce, flowers, baked goods, meat, eggs and even alcohol! Something for everyone. On the sidewalk, so be aware of your surroundings, and some booths have an "entrance" and "exit" to be aware of.”

“Familiar with Mamouns Falalafel and it's first NYC location in the McDougal St West Village location. We go there when we are in the area though since it's a bit of a commute, it's not that often. So it was good to hear that they now had an Upper West Side location (though opened in April, seems the local press just mentioned it recently). Got to the restaurant just after it opened so finally got to see what it's like when it's not crowded. It's got a nicely situated location on Columbus where there are a lot of places to eat and stuff to do. It's also good to know that restaurants are expanding their presence in the UWS as the pandemic has affected the area(as seen with many retail vacancies) For our take out order, I got the sandwiches of shawarma and chicken kebob, the signature sandwiches of macdougal, bleeker, west 4th and sullivan. The choices reflect either chicken or shawarma or a combination. Also got baklava for dessert. They added hot sauces (described as spicy sauce made from imported hot pepper spices) While I was waiting for the order to be prepared, they were nice to let me try a cup of their mamouns iced tea, described as freshly brewed, unsweetened black tea infused with cardamom. has a unique though delicious taste as cardamom has a complex aroma, fruity, possibly menthol flavor. So, how was the takeout? Pretty good actually, especially the Shawarma and Chicken Kebob sandwiches. The Sullivan was just OK though probably was full already so could have enjoyed it more. West 4th was amazing too. Can't wait to try the rest. My wife also liked the Chicken Kebob and baklava. It's definitely a place you should try and they even set up outdoor seating if you would rather dine in.”

“Lovely bookstore. It’s actually quite large inside with a separate downstairs that is mainly a children’s section. Loads of books of every shape and size and flavor. They also carry some great non-book items as well like, tote bags, magnets, stationery, wrapping paper, and Strand gear. We found some Harry Potter themed magnets and a great unlined journal. We would highly recommend this place!”

“Fantastic is what I would use to describe this restaurant. The recommended wine and specials were not disappointing at all. I really enjoyed myself with my family and felt very comfortable with the Caribbean Latin mixed with the style of Spain itself. Everything was beyond satisfying and just a wonderful time to enjoy~”

“Feel immense peace in this temple. It’s so quiet inside — you can’t hear the busy city sounds outside. The volunteers working here are incredibly nice. Do what you need to do to come in here. Or swing by it and view it from the outside. It’s a cool building!”

“The Shade Store made the process of ordering and installing so easy! Kate was so friendly from the second we walked in the store, showing us different options of materials and curtain tracks, and helping decide what would work best for our budget and needs. We changed our minds several times before finally deciding on a final product and she was so patient throughout the process, providing different quotes each time. The timing from delivery to installation was also super quick, and the installer came and put the tracks up very efficiently and with no issues. We are doing various renovations in our apartment and the customer service from The Shade Store has surpassed the rest of the vendors and companies we've been working with by a mile, from start to finish. I will definitely look to use them again for future projects!”
