    one of Central Park's oldest features, and one of the first arches designed by Calvert Vaux. Constructed in 1862, it was originally built wide enough to take horse-drawn carriages to Fifth Avenue. Today it serves as a scenic path for pedestrians just to the east of Cedar Hill.

    Beautiful arch. When I went there was a woman singing down the arch. It sounds marvelous!!

    "Glade Arch was among Calvert Vaux's first designed bridges and arches. Constructed in 1862, it originally carried carriage traffic to Fifth Avenue. Today it provides a wide walkway for visitors."

    one of many beautiful central park arches. You will often see musicians playing for tips over here. Great photo spot.
