“Fantastic place to anchor your boat and go for a swim. It’s a nice respite from the Bay and a good place to relax. There are a few small sandy beach areas you can go to. If there is no wind- black flies can be an issue- but it’s just part of boating on the South Shore. Many local people call this cove “Garbage Cove”; but it was once the site of an old Coast Guard station before the inlet at the end of the Amity Cut was filled in and the marshland in the area was used to make Ocean Parkway.
