“In 2004, Mauro Monteiro and his Infiniti Contracting Carpentry Management group completely renovated my one bedroom co-op apartment. This involved doing a complete replacement of the kitchen and bathroom as well as building bookcases in the living room. He helped me pick out the tiles for both rooms, the colors of wall paint throughout the apartment and new lighting throughout the apartment. I was extremely pleased about the end result. Eleven years later, I called Mauro and said I wanted to make a few changes/updates to the apartment. This involved replacing the kitchen floor tiles, repairing some damaged tiles in the bathroom, repainting the entire apartment and updating the lighting in the dining area. Mauro had a lot of patience and took me to various vendors to look at a variety of tiles so that we could find the ones that I wanted in my apartment. He took me to several lighting stores in NYC until we found the lighting fixture that I liked. Mauro’s team were terrific. They did a wonderful job on all aspects, were very careful to ensure that every thing was done to my needs and likes. They carefully cleaned up each day. “Paul just reupholstered a chair for me. I cannot believe how amazing it looks. It is a wingchair from the 1920s or 30s I think. It needed to be completely rebuilt from the frame on out, maybe it wasn't really worth it but it was my great-grandfather's chair and it has this lovely wood detail, so I just went with it. I picked a more complicated fabric with a pattern AND a stripe to it, and the chair just looks amazing. The workmanship is apparent and the pattern is matched up perfectly all over the chair, the stripe syncing up impeccably from the back to the cushion to the bottom, the arms being a mirror image of each other. I'm beyond impressed. Now... Paul doesn't work fast. But you can choose -- do you want it done fast, or do you want it done right? And it wasn't cheap, but honestly, with all the work that had to be done I would have been hard-pressed to find someone to do it more inexpensively, and then I doubt I would have gotten the level of craftsmanship I did. I simply could not be more happy with how it turned out, and I'm so glad I have a chair I can pass down to my own kids and grandkids.”
