“My family goes back 65+ years with the Orchard Pizza. My family got together today for the first time in 2 years. The owner was an excellent host and it all went great. A nice corner table, nice simple, but tasty and fresh salad, and all those Orchard pizzas reminded us how they tasted as kids back in the 1950s. I was apprehensive because we were a pretty rowdy family but it all worked out so well. I would highly recommend this place and will be back with my granddaughters to have the same experience.”

“I love the Sunday brunch! It’s such a lovely experience! I highly recommend reserving a window seat ~ the brunch comes with two choices one with more meat option basically. We added une, Salmon roe and onsen egg to our meal. I loved how fresh all the food was and it’s just a nice cozy place for a date. Everything on the plate is just so pretty to be honest. Space is limited to you don’t feel overwhelmed with a crowd but definitely book ahead !”

“I was visiting family and we decided to go to Kodiak Jacks for fish. I remember the place from over two decades ago and it wasn't a place I would have gone to. But I found a very pleasant surprise as the owner has gone through enormous efforts to make Kodiak Jacks a pleasant family experience. The bar is segregated from the dining area and it was pretty full when we visited. Our fish came batter fried and Cajun. With it I had German potatoes and my companion had fries. Both plates also came with macaroni salad, cole slaw and rye bread. The star was the fish, very well done. When the batter is crunchy from the first bite to the last, you know someone has an excellent chef. I wish the same could be said regarding the salads, as we both agreed they were plentiful but bland. Service was 5 star, and those ladies were busy, busy, busy. They worked together and endured every table was happy. It may be several years before I revisit Kodiak Jacks because it is a long way from Florida. But when I return, I'd happily eat at Kodiak Jacks again.”

“The wife and I were in the area and thought we would try something new. Saw this was down the road from where we were so why not. We got there around 5 and it was starting to pick up. So we put our order in, pretzel sticks, 10 wings Burboun BBQ wings and a small white pizza. Everything was exceptional! The sauces/dips for the pretzels were good. They both had a kick to them, which was nice. The wings came out crispy and grilled with the sauce. The pizza looked a bit burned, but it was definitely not. The crust crispy but not dried out, which surprised us. The oil or the herbs had a taste like an artisan style, yum! My only complaint, I wish bartenders didn't have to do their job and waitresses at the same time. It just takes longer for everything. But that's such a minor thing. Give this place a try if you haven't already!!”

This is a community staple, and you can tell it is run with the passion only a locally owned small business can be. “The food is absolutely amazing here! I tried the D’verde, Colombianita, and spicy chorizo empanadas, as well as an arepa with their shredded beef. OUT OF THIS WORLD! The empanada crusts were so crispy and the fillings were juicy and melty. The flavors were so good and worked so well with the salsas - spicy, chipotle, and avocado cilantro. The mango-pineapple lemonade served as an excellent refresher in between bites! AND the customer service was just as good as the food! I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in the area!”

“On my weekly crossing of the pedestrian bridge I have seen this location go from an empty office building, to a place advertising a coming soon restaurant, to said restaurant opening their doors. It took years to get there, but here we finally are. Of course I'm a little late to the party, as I had thought this would have been a location with nothing but hotdogs on the menu, and I am unable to partake of red meat sadly, but checking the online menu left me surprised. Not only does Guge's Dogs sell hotdogs and sausages, but burgers, chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese, nachos, loaded fries, and a bunch of breakfast items too! And their prices are beyond reasonable, for my entire order I only had to shell out a little over $25 before tip. Seriously feel like Guge's is underselling themselves, but hey, I won't look a gift chef in the sandwich. Speaking of my order I ran with some loaded Nachos, loaded fries, a customized Grilled Cheese, and the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich. I put my order in online ahead of time using the Clover option, which seems to work with Google, and everything seemed to work pretty smoothly. The options for customization of everything were pretty open, and as you might be able to tell from the pictures, I had a little "fun" with mine. I was pretty amazed by the kraut, bbq sauce, onion, and pickle grilled cheese I had. The cashier was also very impressed with herself at how well she did with it, and seemed pretty interested in the combination as well. Spoilers: It rocked. The nachos were fantastic, exactly what you'd want in some salsa, sour cream, and cheese nachos. The fries also were covered in cheese and sour cream, though I did go a little ham with the cheese request so it was my fault they got so soggy with cheese as they did. So I won't deduct any points there, that's on me. And the chicken sandwich was also on point, a delightfully crispy chicken patty with mustard, lettuce, ketchup, and mayo. Yum. A return trip will absolutely need to be made at some time in the future. 5 out of 5.”
