He is amazing. He pinpointed my scleroderma vitamin D deficiency of 39.4 when only 8 months before it had been a robust 63.2. My bone breaks needed the proper knee high boot and proper care !!! He and his team are all stars. And he is a fellow BU alum ! Thank you thank you !!!
My ankle was bone on bone told by 2 doctors the only thing they could do was to fuse. That was not a option for me referred me to DR Parekh. I was in such pain every day met with him felt at ease had a good bed side manner had the operation last week in Nov 2017 my recovery was faster than I thought it would be, with PT I was back at work in early Feb doing my regular duties. My pain is all but gone with the exception when I over work it then just minor. It was a good decision for me to do. I am able to do most of the things I did before. Having annual follow up next month.
Yesterday was 2 years since I had bunion surgery on my right foot. Recovery was long and difficult. A friend of mine had the same surgery on both feet with Dr. Parekh and recovered quickly, so I guess it just depends. The skin around my foot felt so tight and uncomfortable. I first thought my bandage was too tight but later learned it was my skin trying to stretch over the metal. The good news is I am no longer in pain and enjoying a bunion free foot. My foot looked great the day after surgery, but healing took over a year and 1/2. I also did lots of PT. Dr. Parekh could always answer my questions and was very patient with me. Another doctor wanted to fuse one of my bones along with the bunion removal. Thank God I did not choose him!! I am prepared today to give Dr. Parekh 5 stars as the proof is in the RESULTS.
