“Old South Restaurant right off I-85’s exit for Butner NC was surprisingly and delightfully refreshing and super tasty. We had a wonderful waitress named Renee who took the time to help with the choices which led me to the vegetable platter of three delicious dishes of collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy (All superb). My son had fried oysters and shrimp with very tasty breading along with sides of macaroni and cheese and collards.. He topped off with banana pudding and brownie to go. Their sweet tea was impeccable. Everything we had tasted homemade and fresh, also confirmed by the waitress. The flavors of this food lingers prompting serious desire for return trip. So worth the time to stop.”
