He listens to concerns and personal background surrounding a problem, and then, in my experience, acts in the patient's best interests. I do NOT expect my doctor to chat with me like I'm their peer instead of the person in charge of my medical care, and take my latest internet diagnosis into account when planning my treatment. Dr. Little is an old school pro, and I left a much larger and more well known practice that I had been a patient of for almost ten years for precisely that reason. If I'm ever respectfully contradicted about my opinion on a matter or treated as though he knows more than I do, it's because he's my doctor and invariably DOES in fact know more than I do about the practice of medicine.”
