I booked a passport appointment for my kid at 11:45 a.m. and we all reached around 11:30 a.m.
I stand in the line, they verified my appointment and also scan/copy my details and ask me to wait for next available staff.
Staff/Reviewer called me at 12:00 and verified all the details, took photograph of my baby and finally we did payment.
This entire process took 1 hour and i'm out of this place by 12:30.
I think, Staff is very responsive and not at all racist. they treat me well.
Thank you USPS for your great service.
My service was excellent! There was no line thus no wait. The ladies were kind, professional and courteous! The longest part of the entire transaction was me completing my application.
Because TSA is phasing out the validity of the South Carolina license for domestic travel, and my entire family is taking a cruise this fall, we made a visit to this passport office. My wife and two children needed them.
Because we were getting passports for minors, it was a requirement that BOTH parents were present. My wife made a Saturday appointment at this office.
The receptionist was not having the best of days, and was as gruff as I'd expect a postal employee on a hot Saturday afternoon would be. She informed us that because we were at a NC office and were from out of state, that we would need to produce TWO forms of ID each. Thankfully, we could do that, but neither of us were prepared for this 'gotcha' moment!
The time for our appointment came and went, we were eventually seen about 20 minutes late. Thankfully (and the reason for a 4-star review), we were taken care of by an overly pleasant clerk who went over our paperwork. She was very thorough and even rejected my wife's own-provided passport photo and retook it so it would pass the Department of Defense criteria. The overall review process took maybe 15 minutes total. We paid via checks - a debit card charge incurs a fee.
Our appointment was on 9/22/18, and our new passports arrived on 10/3/2018. We are very surprised they came so quickly, but then again, we aren't terrorists, so...

This post will teach you how to get a person and human being on the phone when you call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777). Surprisingly, it is actually quite easy to talk to a human on the phone when you call the USPS 1800 number. I recently shipped an item through the United States Postal Service and the package was lost.
