“Wished we could have seen the shop but totally understand the need to be safe. The young lady that helped us when we walked in was very helpful and she asked Chocolate Myers to come talk with us and he did. He was super nice and just as personable as he seems on the radio. It's not all talk folks, he's the real deal ?”

Historic Bethabara Park

“I spent a weekend with like minded 18th century living historian's. Think Rev War and Georgian era. The guided tour given by staff at the center was top notch and explained some of the founding of Salem and the Why did the Moravian church buy the County!?!. Our weekend was a private sanctioned event and we tried to be accurate. (No we didn't dig trenches) but observed masks and social distancing also requiring All disposable eating equipment. But it didn't detract from the overall experience of learning details, of life, clothing, stations in life, certain manners (and Lack of) and skills one could take away to reexamine.”

Address: 5101 N Roxboro St, Durham, NC 27704, USA

“This museum displays photography and early 20th-century camera equipment. They also feature contemporary exhibits featured on a rotating basis. Hugh Mangum was an interesting man. At the turn of the 20th Century, when life was incredibly difficult for the African-American community in the photographer used his camera to challenge racial barriers and capture the southern states of the US, this self-taught photographer used his camera to challenge racial barriers and capture the diversity of the American South. A great tribute to a courageous and compassionate photographer. ”

SECCA

Address: 750 Marguerite Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27106, USA

Museum

“Absolutely Amazing and Winston-Salem’s best kept secret. Who knew you could take the kids fishing here as well. If you have not seen the Old meets New here you don’t know what your missing. I very much enjoyed my visit here. So much talent under one roof and So much history too. Who ever came up with the idea to take this Historical site and make a contemporary art museum out of it must have been thought to be crazy whenever they purposed the idea, I’m not sure if it was a group or one person’s plan , but now must be considered true genius and I couldn’t be happier for the successful work that surly will inspire all that visit this wonderful place. The Staff here most of what I gathered are volunteers and the most helpful nicest, considerate people ever put together Thank You so very much I will share this with family and friends for years to come.”

Bennett Place

Address: 4409 Bennett Memorial Rd, Durham, NC 27705, USA

Museum

“The place is interesting a mark in history I'm originally from the North so it was interesting to chat with the staff that runs the show there. Lots of smart people that have a lot of insights. Me and my friend Ron walked around and checked everything out and its authenticity even though it's not original is pretty fun. They were able to get some really old buildings Over the decades to put in place of the ones that either deteriorated or burned down. I do recommend going on a Sunny dry day bring a picnic lunch and chill out under the trees the whole thing is pretty Level terrain .. I would say the places very interesting. Enjoy, namaste Rob”

Panera Bread

Address: 3625 City Park Dr, Charlotte, NC 28217, USA

Cafe Bakery Meal takeaway Restaurant Store Museum

“Panera is a great restaurant and this location delivered on the quality expected. I gave it four stars because of the limited size and the limited parking. This location is about one third the size of a normal Panera, so be prepared that seating is limited. With the amount of offices around this location it seems to cater to the to-go orders instead of people dining-in. To accommodate the to-go portion they have about 10 parking spaces reserved up front. They’ve got the food preparation and to-go portion managed well, however, because of the limited seating people seem to walk around looking for a place to sit. Not a big deal because of how good the food is but just something to be aware of. During the warmer weather they accommodate for the limited seating with outdoor seating.”

The burgers at the grill in the airport are the best in town. Please go and support the museum as this is a non profit attraction and something many counties do not have. Donate if you can. I am in no way affiliated with them, I was just pleasantly surprised at the exhibits and how eager and knowledgeable the staff were.”
