“The worst thing about this place is that it's closed on Mondays! I felt compelled to write this review after reading a few one stars. I havent been here in a few months and hesitated to order because of those reviews, worrying that the quality of the food had gone down. Nope! Still the best Chinese in town! Every time I move I have to find a new "favorite" Chinese place. I have tried every other Chinese in Clayton, but I specifically make a 15 minute drive to this place because it is hands-down the best. They only do orders over the phone or in store, and have no delivery, but its worth it. I've lived here for 6 years and the quality has always been on-point and has been consistent. Keep in mind this isnt a fancy restaurant so if thats what youre looking for, go to Sushi Iwa down the street and fork out almost $100 for a couple of dishes. This is a typical hole-in-the-wall type takeout restaurant with the owner's kids sitting around doing their homework and the Asian folks in the back screaming at each other in mandarin. I was going to post a picture of the food, but I ate it too quickly and oh man was it good!!”

“We stopped in for a lovely meal today. The restaurant was clean and not very busy at all. The food was hot, and quite delicious. “I had take out. They do take COVID precautions seriously. I have given order over the phone. Restaurant main door was closed and their was a table with menus and sign on the door for call in number so no one could go in. Employe walked out in few minutes and confirmed the order and brought my order back. Kung pao was good. I wish it could have been little more spicy and come with more veggie than the chicken. If you are looking for entry with more veggie select something else. Egg roll was ok and I felt it was burnt from inside. Quantity was large and competitive price.”

“Loved the area and the Rockford General Store!!! It's a must to stop in for a sandwich or meal!! The cherry Sonker was fabulous!!! The owner is a hoot!! He'll tell you the whole history of the store and the area while you're waiting for your meal!! You can eat outside or in among the antiques!! Great "little" store to spend some time in!! “Had lunch here after the long drive from WV to NC (Outer Banks). We met some friends and decided to have lunch as a group of 8. Although the place was busy, we were waited on pretty quickly as it was not a server at your table kind of place. You placed your order and had a seat and the order was brought to your table. The food here was really good and they had an amazing steak and cheese sub. Probably one of the best I have had in a long time! It had a lot of tender meat that was very flavorful and gooey cheese that was a good compliment to the sandwich. I did notice that the sandwich had a fair amount of grease as did the onion rings but the food all had great flavor. Pricing was reasonable and the staff was friendly. “Wonderful place to have coffee on a Saturday afternoon. I had a vanilla cappuccino made fresh and a bagel with it. The bagel wasn't NY style or anything fancy but good none the less plus they gave me extra cream cheese which is a bonus. Friendly staff and quick to get my order out. They have a quick drive through. The coffee itself was fresh and hot. They use recyclable cups. The afternoon at 3:00 was not busy at all. Definitely recommend going here if you have the opportunity.”

“Like a moth to a flame, I was drawn to the blue light that brought me to The Juicy Crab of Gastonia, NC. I waited a week and brought my husband. I have been looking for a place that serves seafood broil food. We were thrilled to try it. Upon entry there was a wait , but we were happy to wait. Our waiters name was Brian. As someone who has worked in the service industry I can say Brian was one of the most attentive waiters I have had in a long time. He didn't just do a great job, but was pleasant to deal with, and my cup never went dry! As someone who is always thirsty that's a big deal to me. I hope he is recognized for the gem he is. All I can say is this is a seafood restaurant and they know their seafood! Definitely suggest the juicy special seasoning for your seafood! As a southerner I can say this I approve of their sweet tea! It is the delicious cherry on top of a perfect meal.”

I got the Barbocoa, pork, asada and chicken. They were freshly made with meat, onions and cilantro. [Exactly how a real street taco is made]. My dining partner picked the chicken quesadilla and she enjoyed it thoroughly. She gave me a bite of it and it was quite good. I also got a huge fried bread/dough sprinkled with sugar. My dining partner liked it alot. My entire meal was less than $10 for all of it. There were three sauces in the bag: green [fantastic], red [garlicky and good] but the star of the show was this creamy green sauce that I would get everytime and I wish every 'real' Hispanic place had a sauce this tasty.”
