West Creek Reservation

Great beginner mtb area. 3 small loops in the woods. Not technical, with berms and a few small kickers. Fun time.

Went on an ecosystem interaction tour with Naturalist, Peter. Took my great nephew, Cayden. Learned so much. Will definitely go back and walk the trails. We were at Monarch Bluffs

Purple tree is edible. The flowers and buds can be used as a garnish and can be cooked. The tips of this tree can be used to season meat. It's a peppery spice.

The bird is a red winged blackbird. as we got close to it, the bird hid its red feathers on wing to yellow. It's a very territorial species.

Beautiful park with amazing trails! My brother and I go there just about every Saturday to sit in car and talk. We eat lunch, chat and drink our coffee there.

Very clean park. I love that there are paved paths and hiking trails. Great outlook of downtown. Beautiful flower gardens, and creek to skip rocks in. They are currently doing some renovations, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

The park system used the land to make a beautiful park for people to enjoy! We went to walk ourselves and our dog. The only problem that I saw was that there are some who do not pick up their dog's waste. The park puts bags out for this purpose.
