National Time Systems

I found a 50 year old typewriter for $8. I paid just over $300 to have it fixed. I have since found a c. 1965 manual typewriter for $6. Fortunately, it only needed the ribbon replaced and I was able to do that myself. NTS does wonderful (complete) work. The fact that he is hard to get ahold of and doesn't return calls very well cost him 1 star. And I did have to drive to his house twice to pick it up b/c the first time, he was gone when we agreed I would pick it up. He definitely knows what he is doing with typewriters. Rest assured on that.

I had a Royal Deluxe typewriter that had an advance bar that wouldn't work half the time, plus it needed a good cleaning (and I wasn't sure how to do it since I understand you can't use oil on it.) I took it to National Time and had it back within a couple weeks, and it's worked perfectly ever since. I would recommend their service to others who have vintage typewriters that need some TLC.
