“Looking for an adorable breakfast spot? Head to The Boathouse Cafe and you won’t be disappointed! This cute local scene serves chic decorations, picture-worthy color schemes, tasty breakfast and brunch dishes, and some of the kindest, most attentive staff you’ll find! Despite the limited restaurant space, we were seated immediately upon arriving - though we did notice a line beginning to form shortly after we got there, as it’s not a very large space. We each started with a smoothie — one blueberry pineapple and one mango banana — and they were a refreshingly delicious way to begin our experience. The blueberry pineapple smoothie was so good it deserves an extra shoutout! To eat, we had the avocado bowl and the Spanish omelette, and they did not disappoint. The avocado bowl was filled with handfuls of fresh, colorful veggies, and the omelette was topped with the cafe’s delicious house-made red sauce. The hash brown potatoes weren’t the greatest, as they seemed a bit undercooked. But overall, we had a wonderful experience, and their large and diverse menu options will definitely keep us coming back for more!”

He even responded to me when he was on vacation with his wife and insisted he would handle any of my concerns. He must of drove for Pizza Hut in his early years because this guy just continues to deliver. I’ll be honest in saying I was a little skeptical of Jason’s last name. As an avid cinema fan, I recalled a character from the movie “Brave Heart” featuring Mel Gibson who went by the name of Robert the Bruce. He ultimately betrays Mel Gibson in this particular movie film. As i drew the parallel between the names I was sure to count every single bundle of shingles delivered to my job sites. To my satisfaction and pleasant surprise I have yet to be shorted a bundle of shingles or even a tube of caulk for that matter. This speaks mountains for Jason’s integrity and he has done great justice to the Bruce last name after the dishonorable portrayal witnessed in “Braveheart” Pricing has always been the most competitive out there and I do believe Jason does his part in ensuring prices stay low in these turbulent and trying times. He is also a vessel of knowledge brimming with vast quantities of advice and expertise. Do not hesitate to ask Jason a question and worry not that he will take advantage of your lack of knowledge. 5 stars for Jason and banner.”

“My grandparents, aunt, father, and now brothers are buried at East Akron Cemetery. I have worked with Wendy, the office person, who has always been helpful, kind and courteous. I've also dealt with Tim, the groundskeeper, who you can tell is dedicated to keeping the cemetery looking nice. Tim told me he cut grass in the cemetery as a teenager. In the last 5 years I have never gone into the cemetery and it was not looking good. My family lived in East Akron all of our lives, so when it came time for the final resting place, there was no other choice. It is a quiet, peaceful, beautiful cemetery, and I would definitely recommend it.”

“Great trail to bring pets on as well as bikes. The trail isn't paved but it's almost a sand rock. Only downfall is if there is rain, part of the trail (if you take a side leg) can be flooded but it drains fairly quickly. Also a nice spot to relax by the water on those hotter days.”

“I’ve had 4 boys go to Akron Montessori and its honestly the only place I trusted that would take care of my children, keep them safe, and teach them to be kind, respectful people. The Montessori method is wonderful! My boys were more than academically ready (in fact are in advanced classes) for school after they finished their three years of preschool at Akron Montessori. Unlike other preschools/daycares, we were able to send in our own food (due to allergies) and were never made to feel like we were a burden to the school with our children’s food allergies. I also love that each child can move at their own pace. I don’t know how the teachers keep track but they are able to challenge each child in said child’s interest and keep the basics of language, math, arts, geography and science at the level needed for each child. There’s plenty of opportunities for nature exploration and even organic gardening. Can’t say enough good things about this wonderful school. So happy that the owner Mrs Jaye decided to keep the school open after the pandemic.”
