“My mom and dad purchased plots from Dawn Valley from a door to door salesman in 1971. It seems that was their preferred method of shopping back then as I have the dictionaries, encyclopedias and brushes to prove it. Lol. They purchased based on location as it was near Bush Lake, which was a center point of fun activities we were doing as a family during the time. I imagine they also chose DV, because it is beautiful, tranquil, and surrounded by nature. This review is based on my mom’s funeral last week. Planning a funeral is no fun. It’s overwhelming, because of the timing and the unknowns. I can say without hesitation that my parents chose well. The staff of Dawn Valley was amazing. They made the process easy, smooth, and stress free. We feared pressure sales. Never did this happen and it was made clear throughout the process they would work with us and it would be perfect. The funeral itself was beautifully done. They chose a wonderful minister, who despite never meeting my mom made us feel like they knew each other. All in all, for a hard thing to go through they made it seamless and stress free. The perfect day for a immensely loved and missed mom. Thank you, Dawn Valley!”

“Numerous members of my family and church family have had their funerals at Freck Funeral Chapel. The building was formerly a small church. Hence, chapel is an appropriate word for the room. I think it is a beautiful space for a funeral visitation and funeral ceremony. Lots of space, high ceilings, lots of seating. Joe and Bianca Freck are great people, highly professional, and caring. “Took my baby boy in today to be cremated and this being my baby for 13 years as he grew up with my son he was just like my child ... First time i've ever left him anywhere!!! They made sure they were soooo helpful !! I asked many questions as this is the first time ive ever lost a animal they walked me threw everything !! Being it was friday they called me at 7pm and told me i can pick up my baby's ashes tomorrow wich was quick !! Price was great they made me comfortable and showed compassion !! Great place i will use them again and will recommend them to anyone i know”

“Mr. Preston and his staff did an exceptional job with caring for our loved one during his passing in the midst of a pandemic. They were faced with the task of shipping his body to Jamaica and endured delays because of the covid19 lockdown. They were patient and professional and really comforted and assured the family during our times of panic. Once the airlines opened up they were prompt with all the details for the family and preserved our loved so well that upon arrival in Jamaica after a long wait the family there was very impressed.”

“I had a long list of things I knew I had to get done before the funeral. Amazing how many things were marked off of that list during our first meeting with Sam. Also, they give you a list of things that you need to take care of afterwards which is very helpful to know what has to be done. I would not have known all of the things that are listed had to be done. Newcomer is very easy to work with, they do so much for you and everyone is very compassionate.”

“These folks are so helpful. They went above and beyond to help me, even when there was nothing in it for them. My Google phone stopped taking a charge, so I brought it in to this local store to see how to get it fixed. In the end I had to send the phone to Google: a process that would take 10 days. I really need my phone, so I was distressed about what to do. These folks rummaged around and found a phone they could loan me for 10 days! There was no new sale in it for them. They just took care of me. Can't say how much that loner saved me. This is an authorized retailer: not the cellphone company's own store. I don't know that I'd get such good customer service at an actual cellphone company store. (Just my opinion.)”

“Here's a deal, you can go right across the street to home Depot and buy paint. But, as much as I hate to admit it... A $75 gallon of Sherwin-Williams paint is simply head and shoulders better than anything sold at home Depot. There's a reason why all painters go to Sherwin-Williams and get their supplies. They're not getting crazy kickbacks, they don't get freebies, and it's more expensive than going to the big box retailers. I use a friend's commercial account who happens to be a painter and I can tell you that a gallon of their high quality exterior paint or interior paint is still more than Lowe's or home Depot even with their discount. The trade-off is the quality, there's simply nothing to compare it to. Go to a Sherwin-Williams sometime and see who goes in there and shops, if the pros use them, That's a good sign that you should too.”
