“I have had many visits with this library and the staff has always gone above and beyond their way to help. The library has a pleasant atmosphere and is perfect for research and study. It also has a good stock of DVD to borrow. I find it odd that some people write a bad review on account of one employee being in a bad mood in one instance. Such incidents have nothing to do with the library and can happen anywhere any time.”

“Wonderful small town library overlooking a majestic waterfall and with a wonderful view of the world renowned Tyglasokamunga Mountain. The staff are friendly and the chef makes a great empanada. Their beer section is lacking generic brands but it is made up for by the freshly brewed mixture made in house. Upon entering it is local custom to remove ones shoes and socks and to inflict 40 lashes upon your own back, for this is sacred ground. My only complaint is the rollercoaster broke down and it took a total of 4 minutes for maintenance to arrive and fix it to the well done steak I ordered.”

“My son and I have been going to this library since it opened 3 yrs ago. We love going there when ever we can! Nice selection for adults and kids. Plus the ladies and student workers are amazing help. If they don’t have a book there they will help find it! It feels like a family based library. My son loved the after school hangout bc he can’t get to the story time! Everyone truly brings life and enjoyment to going to the library! Thanks for the continuous joy while coming to the library!”

“At the west end of the branch's property (East Boulevard & Superior Avenue) has an Ohio historic marker honoring the library's namesake. James Mercer Langston Hughes was an alumnus of Cleveland's Central High School. The lawn also has a collection of brightly colored cutout sculptures.”
