Mekong Bistro

This place is owned by a truly community minded family. The service and food were incredible but what I was so impressed by was how much people from the surrounding community cherish spending time here. This place gets 5 starts as a restaurant/venue and 10 starts for being a community asset.

I loved it there. Me and my family went and all got different dishes and entrées and loved all of it. The staff was super nice and welcoming and our waitress was the nicest gal. We all had a wonderful time and all of us want to go back again.

Super yummy food especially the crazy chicken! They are open til late night and thank heavens they are. The place is huge and good for events. One picture here is the juice stand of a kid that they support. The project is about building a library in Cambodia. Such a wonderful cause.

I really enjoyed this place. The people behind the counter are very nice, and the dishes are flavorful. I was surprised by the legit amount of ginger I got on the ginger chicken. My only wish was that there were spicier dishes but I'll try some other stuff on the menu next time I go.

The decor is much nicer than you would expect based on the location (it's basically in a small strip mall on 82nd). The interior is very clean and you can tell the owners care about their restaurant. Overall, really great experience and I'll be back!

Soooooo good. Flavorful and spicy, but the heat doesn’t overpower the food. Holds up for take-out. Definitely one of my new favorite places in Portland.
