There's a great selection of beers on tap, and they have an ice strip on the bar to keep your brew nice and chilled. “I was taken to this store several years ago by my lovely knitting guru to get yarn for my first project, and I have continued to shop here ever since. I love this place!! Everyone on staff is really kind and knowledgeable. Jami, the owner, is just wonderful. Everyone there, from the staff to the nice regulars that like to hang out and knit, was so welcoming and enthusiastic about getting a total novice off the ground. The atmosphere is just so warm and inviting. Now, with the Covid-19 lock down in place, I tired ordering yarn online. The Knitting Bee website is easy to use, I found some cool colorful yarn and a blanket kit. It came in the mail faster than I had expected and I am ready to start my new project. I am looking forward to visiting this shop again when it is safe :)”

“We were thinking about martial arts for our 8 year old boy for awhile and decided in January to visit a few places. The teacher, David, welcomed us in even though he was in the middle of teaching a class. He said our son could join the others on the mat if he wanted. After just 5 minutes he was so interested watching the class that he decided to go and participate. He loved the first lesson so much that we never checked out another place and enrolled that evening. He has gone twice a week since then (totally free for the first month!). Sensei David is patient and kind. He encourages every student from beginners to advanced. What impresses me the most is not only the teaching itself, of techniques and movements, but the respect, self-control, and discipline the children learn: respect of themselves, other students, and their teachers. We are extremely pleased to go to such a positive place. The other adults helping the younger students are also very helpful and patient. Seeing our son gaining self-confidence and self-esteem is a good feeling.”

“My daughter moved to Portland 3 years ago to attend college so I looked for a local florist. I am so glad that I found Mai Flower Bill's. From the very first order I was so impressed by their staff and how they listened to everything I asked for and then sent exactly what I wanted. I have never had any of the problems that others seemed to have and I have used them exclusively for every occasion. My daughter is an art major and she just loves the personal arrangements she receives. She just got a birthday bouquet today and even with it being mothers day the spider mums that I requested were all there in various colors. She absolutely loved it! Had me call prior to entering building to limit number of people in the waiting room, had me wash my hands before AND after my procedure . . . GAVE ME FLOWERS FOR MY WIFE, and a new toothbrush ! . . Are you kidding me? ? ? How awesome is THAT ! ! ! . . . Was also the least painful visit I have ever had at ANY dentist ! ! ! . . . My tooth was ground down and fitted with a temporary cap, (until my permanent cap is made). All this in just over an hour! . . The staff was very helpful AND friendly ! . . You can't figure out how they do it all. The building, landscaping, parking and other amenities are as terrible as you'd expect of such an old public school. Volunteers have made good improvements over the years. It's still essential for it's kids and the neighborhood.”
