    The site that was reserved was way too small for our RV. We couldn't get into it. My kid's dad wound up staying at a truck stop the first night but was able to switch to a bigger site the next day. Just sucks he had to waste money for the first site.

    Really just a tremendous Campground. I've never seen so many campersat a state facility. I've never seen so many tents in one place! Lots of amenities, nice bathrooms with warm showers, plenty of stuff to do and see

    If you expect decent car camping, you will be very pleased. This is a nice, easy getaway from the city. The camp facilities are clean and well-lit. The gate staff were friendly and quick to check us in. There are food/lantern hooks, fire rings, and picnic tables at every site. The staff have done a really nice job maintaining the sites. The signage around the campground and park is above average. Every trail we hiked was marked and maintained (with exception to the Switchback Trail, which had obviously not been recently trekked by park rangers). Overall, a good place to chill out and unplug.

First visit a Hickory Run Campground and we had a great weekend here. Staff and campers are very fri...endly and welcoming. They have a beautiful campground with some great open sites. We will definitely be back and bring more of our camping family with us next time we come.
